I am renting out comfortable newly renovated rooms with en-suite bathrooms (only one room is not en-suite, but it has its own separate bathroom which is for that room only). The rooms, indeed the entire house, have been completely renovated and are in immaculate condition. Each room has a TV and wireless internet connection but no tea/coffee making facilities. I would point out that each of my listings is not for one specific room but could be any one of the rooms in the photographs. They are all of the same standard but if you have a preference, please enquire as to availability. The property is situated in between two tube stations (zone 3) and is a 20 minute tube ride into the centre of the capital and is therefore ideally placed for visiting the sights of London. Heathrow airport is a 20 min tube ride and the Gatwick Express from Victoria Station gets you to Gatwick airport in 30 minutes. There is also a 24hr mini market within a 2 minute walk,as well as plenty of restaurants, bars and cafes for Breakfast, lunch and dinner as there is no use of the kitchen.
We would love to welcome you into our home and hope you enjoy your stay with us!
***Please do get in touch even if your dates are showing as 'unavailable' as there maybe further availability*****
No use of common/living areas.
Alexandra offers modern, spotless, newly renovated rooms, which are both central in location and elegantly decorated. She is an extremely attentive and professional host. If you have five star standards for cleanliness and decor, then you will be very happy with this accommodation.
I've been in London for 5 days and can totally say that it was fantastic not only because of the city but also because of accommodation. Everything was good. The room was clean and bright. No difference with photos. I could come back when I want. 5 minutes from Ealing Common. So I recommend you to stay exactly in this place.
I stayed 2 weeks at en-suite rooms 4 and it was beautiful like a 4 star hotel room. Bed was comfy, had plenty of room for storage, warm, and you never have to worry about hot shower like old hotels.
You should be note that "do not allow use of the kitchen" means also you don't have a kettle or fridge at your room. Since I'm a huge tea drinker, I bought a travel kettle at argos, and Alexandra didn't care about it. So I had no problem about it. Also, there is tesco, and selfridge on the way from tube station.
You might be a bit worrying about the place - it's not the center of the London - but you don't have to. You can get both piccadilly line and distlict line at the nearest tube station (Ealing Common) , so it's very quick and easy trip to go to center of London. Also, bus stops are very near.
Alexandra has a big family and they were all very kind and nice. My English isn't so well but I had no any difficulty during the stay.
Thanks Alexandra! I enjoyed my holiday at London very much!
Really great pace to stay. It's a large beautiful house which has been recently renovated to a very high standard - everything is immaculate.
The room I stayed in was at the top of the house, spacious with a really nice shower room with top quality fittings.
The bed was comfy, lots of storage for clothes, plenty of hot water, and the room very warm which was great.
It is very good value for money.
I drove and there was ample parking in the street right outside.
I'd read other reviews and realised there was no kettle, so I took my own travel, which Alex didn't mind.
Alex is great - great communication and she is warm, welcoming and very helpful.
All in all 10 out of 10!
We had a great stay at Alexandra's house. Everything was new and fresh. She was very helpful and kind.
The metrostation was a 10 minute walk so that was good.
A quiet neighbourhood and the busstop is around the corner!
Absolutely would stay here again.
Not very cozy in terms of attitude. Very much like a hotel without city map and no guidance and knowledge of London museum. Didn't have hot water sometimes. I would not suggest to those who select bnb also want to experience and interact with people
I am Alexandra's son and hosted this lady whilst my parents were away on holiday. Unfortunately I would have to agree with the other review this lady has on her profile in that she is inconsiderate, unpleasant and I would add to that, rude with an extremely negative attitude.
From the outset, when she arrived, as welcoming and friendly as I was trying to be, she was totally uninterested in any sort of interaction. I was rather taken aback and found it strange but thought she was probably tired from the journey. I took her to her room, and she immediately reacted to the fact that she wasn't given a double bed but a single. I explained, (as stated on the listings) that each listing wasn't attached to a specific room but that it informs guests if there is a particular room they would prefer, then they should ask for it, if it is available, we will reserve it for them. She didn't make that request.
Secondly, she came downstairs to use the kitchen, I again referred her to the listing ie. that there is no use of the kitchen. Thirdly, she asked for slippers as she found the stairs cold??!! The stairs are carpeted, and why would you need slippers for the stairs? you use the stairs when you come into the house and leave the house, for which you would surely wear shoes? I tried to strike up a conversation whenever I saw her and to make sure that she was happy with everything but she just wasn't interested, making it a totally uncomfortable and unpleasant experience. With regards to her saying that there wasn't hot water, we have never had a problem and hot water is always plentiful 24 hours a day!
With over two hundred positive reviews and no negatives, I can only say that this was a real eye opener and an experience I wouldn't like to repeat.
This was a lovely house and a very relaxing place to stay. Highly recommended!
Great Host! Stayed 3 nights, arrive early at 10am with the intention to drop my luggage at her place but unfortunately my luggage was delayed. Fortunately she had a room ready at the time i got there as the previous guest checkout early, so that I can take a rest & bath before going out for a noon lunch appointment.
Alexander also took the effort to help me lookout for the nano sim which I got Giffgaff to mail to her place as well as receive my delayed luggage from the courier guy on the 2nd day.
As for the room, it is well done and spacious as what other reviewers have said. WIFI Internet is considerable fast, the location is about 10 mins walk to the Ealing Common Tube Station, and nearby coffeeshops and supermarkets.
As for the only drawback is probably the use of kitchen, which most would want to get some drinking water or hot water.
Overall, what you get is more than what you paid for.
Keep up the good service Alexander!
It was my first Airbnb and I really enjoyed the experience. I arrived late and it was totally fine for Alexandra and her husband. The room was absolutely clean, well organized and quiet. The ensuite bathroom looks like brand new, an important point to me.
Lovely room in a beautiful home. Immaculate and very comfortable. Easy access to Heathrow airport and all London has to offer. Cannot recommend highly enough. Can't wait to come back!
