Need a work or R&R retreat this summer? Our apt is bright w/ 2 bikes, full work station, multiple surface areas to spread out and contemplate your work. State-of-art fitness center, saltwater pool, BBQ gazebo. We are looking for a summer subletter!
This common area has an open concept kitchen, dining and living room space with plenty of space to relax and entertain.
Very clean, spacious apartment in a resort-style community with full facilities: outdoor salt-water pool, newly equipped 24-hour gym with suspension bands, media console cardio machines, circuit machines, free weights, bosu balls, and tanning bed. We have two clunky bicycles for guests to use around town! Property has car wash and BBQ gazebo.
Our 2nd floor suite is just over 1,100 sq. ft. with 9.5 ft. ceiling, west-facing balcony and large picture windows, open-concept kitchen, one big bedroom (second BR not available) and large bathroom. Kitchen has a gas range, full oven, microwave, fan, in-sink disposal, dishwasher and large counter prep area. A breakfast bar for 2 overlooks a formal dining area for 6 (seats 8 total) with a ceiling fan over dining area. Spacious living room has central air conditioner and heater controls. Entertainment unit holds full stereo w/ cassette/CD player, large flat screen with 4 basic TV stations, and plenty of internet streaming stations, and blueray/DVD player; gas fireplace and walkout to a patio with small table and 6 patio chairs. The entire apartment receives plenty of natural light. Master bedroom has a double (smaller than queen) bed that sleeps two, ceiling fan, a work station with ergonomic desk chair, blackout curtains and venetian blinds. This unit has one large full bathroom.
Guests have access to all kitchen/laundry/cleaning supplies. Continental breakfast will be available for the first few mornings. We can accommodate special dietary needs with advance notice.
Our place is suitable for guests who want a bright, quiet space to relax, get good sleep, and/or have a productive working holiday. This is a bedroom community, safer than any of the Cleveland suburbs but close enough to run to the city for errands and entertainment.
This exurb is conveniently located next to the I-180 entrance. It borders Hudson, is 20 minutes from Beachwood and Chagrin Falls. As the region's shopping hub, this area has most of the major box stores and restaurant franchises. Local grocers are Giant Eagle, Aldi, Valu Mart, K-Mart, and Walmart. We recommend taking the 20 minute drive to Trader Joe's in Woodmere, OH for your organics. Public transit is limited. We offer you a bicycle to use in town. 3 miles of sidewalk surround this subdivision. It's advisable to drive while exploring NE Ohio. Our complex has a large undesignated, uncovered, off-street parking lot for you to park your car(s) without permit. We may drive you from/to the airport or car rental office if given sufficient notice.
Some things to keep in mind: there is no elevator to our 2nd floor suite; this unit is not wheelchair accessible. Also, because of the balcony, glass furniture, and cream carpet, our place is not suitable for toddlers or pets.
CALENDAR UPDATE: The entire apartment is available whenever the $89/night rate is indicated. Because this is our second home, on days where $45/night is indicated, a private 2nd bedroom is available to a single woman in a shared apartment with us. If you are a couple looking for a private bedroom, the master bedroom may be made available for $55/night for two adults maximum. We welcome phone calls and discount rates for stays exceeding 14 days.
We wish you safe travels and pleasant accommodations!
The closet in the spare bedroom is off limits: this is where we store our personal belongings.
All apartment and complex amenities are shared including patio, pool, clubhouse, business center, fitness center, tanning bed, bbq pits, gazebo, car wash, off-street parking.
Interaction with Guests
We have minimal interaction with our guests because our main home is out of town. We will greet guests at check in and are available by phone or email thereafter.
The complex also has 3 miles of winding sidewalks suitable for walking/jogging. It is very convenient for shopping. It has all of the major box stores, grocery, restaurant chains. We are right next to Hudson. We are also a short drive from Aurora Premium Outlet Mall.
This is an exurban bedroom community and does not have good public transit. If we can arrange it in advance, I may be able to drive you to/from the airport. You'll need a car to get around while you are here. We have ample off-street parking but you may need to hunt for parking around the large complex when arriving later in the evening.
Other Things to Note
The smaller second bedroom contains personal belongings and is unavailable until further notice.
Based on past experience, this unit is suitable for one couple. It is not suitable for children or toddlers. NO EXCEPTIONS. Sorry!
Apartment is smoke-free but you are welcome to smoke on the balcony. Please ash/butt into a disposable container.
We do a thorough cleaning after each guest and only ask that you take out the trash and perishables at check-out. Additional check-out procedures will be made available at check-in.
We want you to make the most of your time and to feel at home during your stay so please call us if you need anything!
From Jun 1 - Aug 31, 2015 the minimum stay is 14 nights.
Patio and all picture windows are west-facing for plenty of natural light throughout the day.
First time user on Airbandb & so happy we were recommended here! Many have not heard of it & I shall spread the word ;)
My family & I needed a place to stay during the holidays while visiting family & friends in Ohio. We wanted a comfortable, clean, reasonably priced and convenient place to stay. Based on the photos & information posted for this apartment, it matched our needs perfectly. Streetsboro is very centralized for all the places we'd be traveling to ... Kent, Mantua, Cleveland, Stow and Aurora.
Rasia was great to work with!! She answered all questions via email & text. We also had a phone conversation four weeks prior to our stay - this made me feel very comfortable. She also called to check in our arrival date, to ensure we made it to Ohio safely & to answer any questions.
The pictures posted showed exactly what everything looked like inside. Everything was clean & in working order. The kitchen provided all amenities for the few meals we had while staying there. Rasia had several food items available for our use, which was greatly appreciated. The washer & dryer located in the kitchen area was an EXCELLENT BENEFIT ... though during the washer's spin cycle, it sounded like a jet taking off :) This unexpected sound was fine with me, as I was happy to not have to do laundry in a shared, community area in the complex.
The free Wifi was much appreciated. We were able to connect easily & the connection was always strong. There were a lot of DVDs available, though we didn't watch any.
We always felt safe while there, which when traveling is always questionable. The door into the apartment complex required a separate key, which seemed to keep people from roaming around where they don't belong. Some nights we'd return around midnight & a parking spot wouldn't be available nearby. We'd have to park about 20-30 spaces away from our entrance. We'd drop the kids off at the door & then drive around to find a spot. Fortunately, since we always felt safe, this was not a huge issues. Plus, it NEVER snowed while we were visiting ... which was a big surprise!! ... so the need to clean off the van & wait for it to warm up wasn't too much of a concern.
Rasia left adorable little Post-It notes on several things in the apartment ... feel free to use this drawer, night lights for your use, feel free to use linens ... this was a nice touch. Since we didn't want to pick around in their belongings, it was nice to know what she felt comfortable with to share with us, or let us use.
Our family definitely recommends staying here to anyone interested. We felt like we were staying at an aunt or uncle's house, and they were gone for the week. Comfy, cozy & convenient.
Nice place. Very clean. Host was excellent and flexible about providing keys. The only drawbacks are that the couch is not very comfortable and there are no other seating options besides dining chairs. The other drawback is that there is no cable TV (but not recognizing that before renting was probably my fault - I did not realize that was missing from the list of amenities). For a short stay this would probably be a good place, but since I rented for 2 months the seating and lack of cable TV were not ideal.
Thank you for your helpful response. We may not replace our couch since other long-term guests were fine with it. We're glad you thought to set up a TV antennae to get 50 channels -wow! Guests seemed happy with internet TV till now. We appreciate your great idea and will buy ourselves that antennae!
The spacious apartment is in a perfect location and has full amenities and parking. We found the apartment clean and well fit-out with great internet service, appliances and furniture. Rasia and Brian were great hosts, giving us an instructional tour beforehand.
Stepping into Rasia's immaculate spacious living/dining room on a cold, snowy pre-Thanksgiving Eve was like opening an early Christmas gift for a tired traveler! Rasia met us to give us a tour and general operational instructions for anything I might need. My two-night stay had all the comforts of a dear friend's cherished apartment readied just for me! There were ample breakfast items for selection and the appliances necessary for meal preparation. The apartment was neat, serene, and tastefully decorated with interesting wall hangings and holiday decor. My selection of Bach from her ample CD and DVD collection added to the ambiance of the experience. I would highly recommend your choosing this tranquil B and B experience if you are traveling in the Streetsboro/Hudson vicinity. It offers many amenities and a gracious, accommodating host!!!
Thanksgiving week, 2013
Thanks for a great stay! My friend and I met here for a business retreat and the spot was perfect for us. The apartment was clean and open, and the location was just a few miles from the grocery store and other shopping. And the pool was a nice bonus!
The apartment was clean and quiet, the neighborhood was of the nicest in the area. We had to change dates and this end up quite messy in terms of payments, but Rasia was very helpful in the process of resolving the issues.
We enjoyed staying in Rasia's apartment. It is located in a quiet and safe complex. There is plenty of parking and amenities galore. The balcony is an added plus! Check in was easy and Rasia communicated great. Also there are walking trails around and Rasia has a community guide with local places/events to check out. We worked from her apartment for a week and it was by far one of the best setups we've had with the double desk, large dining table, and strong internet. I would highly recommend!
