My husband and I stayed at Greg's place for a little anniversary getaway. Greg was so kind to us and showed us everything we needed to know upon arrival. He was also really responsive to messages via airbnb and just so easy to work with. The place itself was absolutely wonderful and perfect. It was near all the touristy spots and also close to the "L" so we were able to get anywhere really quickly. We absolutely loved our experience and have already talked about staying there again in the future!
This apartment is even better in real life! The photos are a little dark, don't let this fool you! We walked everywhere from here in Chicago (we do love to walk). Greg's son came to meet us to let us in. He was friendly and helpful and recommended a great place for dinner. Great restaurants and bars nearby.
Greg's apartment is a great apartment and fits 4 people well, the building is safe and secure and in a great central location with lots to do around the area, look forward to visiting again next year.
Overall, place was great for the price. Large and very nicely appointed. Good location.
LOVED staying in Greg's special, industrial, loft-like apartment. Had a great mix of masculine/feminine touches while being very comfortable. After a long day, it was the perfect, quiet place to unwind and enjoy a nice dinner. We didn't even care if we went out. The pictures are nice, but it's even better in person! Clean, great location, wonderful host.
We loved Greg's space. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go in Chicago and the apartment is clean, comfortable and spacious with every convenience you need. We would definitely go back.
Greg is a friendly and helpful host. He made our first Airbnb experience truly unforgettable!
Great place. All the mod cons that you could want. Close to everything. Would stay again for sure. Greg is a nice guy and answered all my questions quickly
We were a party of 4 and checking in went smoothly. Greg's airbnb listing was in a very quiet, convenient location and even without a car we were able to walk to many locations. The metro train station was about 10 minutes walk. Enjoyed several eateries and music venues close by. The apartment very clean and well stocked with bedding, pantry and bathroom items etc. There was plenty of living space.
We spent 4 fabulous days in May at Greg's apartment. As advertised, it was modern with all the amenities and supplies we needed, the layout was perfect and it was in a good central location for sightseeing. Greg and his son couldn't have been more helpful and answered all of our questions promptly and made suggestions. You can walk to many attractions including the Museum Campus and the Art Institute. Otherwise, it's a short walk to red line 'el' (Harrison) and blue line (LaSalle)-we bought a Ventra (metro) Card at the airport and loaded it with dollars and reloaded as needed at stations. From O'Hare it's a 40 minute blue line ride to the LaSalle stop and very short walk to the apartment. Great food is nearby at Malnati's (deep dish pizza-delivered to your door), Robinson's @ Union Station (BBQ Ribs) and Buddy Guy's Legends (Cajun food with a side of live acoustic blues musicians at lunch and dinner). If going to a White Sox game and you're in the mood for a good (reasonable) steak before the game, don't miss Schaller's Pump (S.Halsted & 37th)-a great old pub- for their butt steak (tastes like sirloin) and get the hash browns. So worth the walk and the price is around $11.
I can only echo the positive reviews. Lovely, well-stocked and comfortable accommodation, super location close to downtown and thoughtful host. We had a great stay.
