The Space

This secluded hillside home in trendy Echo Park is conveniently located near downtown, but you'll feel like you're in the country. Relax on the private patio, enjoy the sunset views from your deck or go for a hike in nearby Elysian Park.

Bright and sunny all day long, this home is perfect for your vacation or business trip. Situated on a hilltop street, not in the flats of Echo Park, so there is rarely any traffic.

2 bedroom/ 1 bath
2 Queen sized beds,
Fully equipped kitchen:
Stocked with breakfast fixings, coffee and teas
Hardwood floors/tile floors
2 private decks, lush and rustic yard/ large private patio with comfy outdoor seating (You can always find a sunny spot to relax!)
High-speed Wi-Fi.
LGBT Friendly

The house is location in the Elysian Park hills; which is the best part of Echo Park. There are two bedrooms, the largest has great views of the hills from the queen sized 4 poster bed. The second bedroom is cozy and also has a queen sized bed. It's on the other side of the house, so you have more privacy.

The bathroom features a stainless steel bathtub, modern tile and a custom teak vanity and shelving.

The high speed WiFi is great for watching your shows on your laptop or iPad. There is a washer and dryer available to guests in the storage area below the house.

There is large sunny living room/dining room area with it's own deck; a great place to have a glass of wine and watch the sunsets. Sorry, I don't allow parties; the house is in a quiet residential neighborhood.

The house has easy access to Downtown, Silver Lake, Los Feliz and Hollywood. The (phone number hidden) and 5 freeways are just a 5 minute drive away, so it's easy to give just about anywhere in LA from here. We also have reliable public transit in Echo Park in case you aren't renting a car.

Echo Park is one of the few walkable neighborhoods in LA. The house is close to cafes, dining, nightlife, and shopping! It’s just a 2 minute walk to FIX or 8 minutes to Chango (my favorite gourmet coffeehouse.) In 15 minutes you can walk down to Sage Organic Vegan or Red Hill for a nice dinner (or over to Two Boots Pizza for a couple of slices.) The Gold Room, El Prado and The Echo are also nearby if you want to go out to a hipster bar or see a band. Check out my Airbnb Guidebook for lots of local tips.

There is a private guest unit below the house where I live, the two decks and patio in the photos are exclusively for your enjoyment. I like to give guests as much privacy as they desire, while still being accessible and helpful.

ABOUT ME: I’m a single gay man and an East Coast transplant. I’ve lived in Los Angeles for over 15 years, so it feels like home to me. I have a 3 year old Chihuahua named Moe that I adopted from a local rescue. I love Echo Park and know all good restaurants and interesting places worth visiting in the area.

House Rules

It's your place, so feel free to make yourself at home. I have just a few house rules.

No smoking inside the house or on the living room deck. You can smoke on the front deck, the patio or any where in the yard that you like.

Sorry, no pets allowed.

Please take off your shoes when you enter the house. Most guests just leave them in the entry hall.

This is a quiet residential neighborhood, so I don't allow parties. Please be considerate of my neighbors.

The bathroom counters are teak, so if you splash any water on them, please wipe them down when you are done.

Most importantly, don't flush paper towels, wipes or feminine hygiene products down the toilet. The house has old sewer lines that will clog and require a very expensive visit from a plumber.

California is in it's 3rd year of a record breaking drought, so please be conservative with the water.

Please make sure that everyone in the house reads these rules.
