I stayed with the family for little less than a week. It was an extremely nice experience. They are very friendly, nice, and hospitable. I thoroughly enjoyed my time chatting, eating, and partying with them. It was the new year's as well as their son's birthday when I was there so really had a good time with being all happy and everything. The room was nice, clean and as shown in the picture and the breakfast was nice, traditional food with coffee and coca :) However, couple of things I would like to point out are - if you are used to hot water every morning you might have to struggle a little bit because Cusco can get cold in the morning and the water in the bathroom is not so hot, and the distance from the city center could be a bummer when you are tired in the evening. That being said, it's really easy to get a taxi for 5 soles to the center and then again the same thing while coming back. So, if you are looking to stay with a very nice, friendly and warm family and are ready to overlook the water and distance aspects this is a good place to stay.

Staying with Alexandra and her family was a great experience to welcome us to Cusco. Along with her father Bruno, she met us at the airport, and brought us back to their quiet family home. We got to know her mother Ada as well, along with briefly meeting Alexandra's sister and brother, too! Everyone was extremely friendly, and ready to converse! The accommodations were simple yet comfortable and clean. As this room is on the first floor and it's mainly hardwood or tile around, you'll want to make sure your dress for the cool nights and mornings. They also offered us a portable gas heater for the room in the evening, though I don't believe it's safe (or necessary) to leave on overnight; the bed was warm. Cab drivers had no problem finding the address (provided by Alexandra after booking), which made it easy to get back to the house in the evening. Their dogs were very friendly, and we were even able to do our laundry at the house for a nominal charge.

I had a great stay with Alexandra and her family. They are exceptionally kind and warm people. I got to taste some home cooked Peruvian food too, which was great! The house is a 15-20 min walk to downtown (Plaza de Armas), or a 5 minute taxi ride (for 4 soles, ~$2 each way) -- so perfectly reasonable. Fast internet, clean bathroom, comfortable bed!

I was in Cusco for two awesome weeks. I'm glad I stayed with Alexandra and her family. They picked me up from the airport and gave me a quick tour of the city. The room was what I expected from what was listed. It had a clean bed, and a few dresser drawers to store your clothes and a clean bathroom. The accommodations are not a five star hotel but I was never in the room for much time except to sleep. After all I was on vacation much of the day I spent it outside exploring. I see a lot of reviewers complain about the hot water which was not a problem for me because I rented this place because of the price and not its amenities. The house/room was a little outside the city but that was ok because I got a chance to see and walk the rural Cusco and not stay in the over developed downtown area. The downtown area was a brisk 30min walk or a 5min taxi ride. Overall I would definitely stay with Alexandra and her kind family.

This family was so wonderful. The room and bathroom was very clean. I slept so well in the bed. Bruno, Alex and the rest of the family were very welcoming and made my stay amazing. For a small fee I got a great tour around the sacred valley and even had the pleasure of tasting some Peruvian food. I recommend staying here if you visit Cuzco. Thank you so much for your kindness and for inviting me into your home.
