Looking into the living room. You can either sleep on this beauty, or choose to take the blow up Queen sized aero bed (see other photo)
I am listing my very comfy sofa, or aerobed (whatever you prefer) in my East Harlem cosy apartment.
Just steps from the 6 train, and only four blocks to Central Park and museums, this place is the perfect pad from which to base yourself for your short stay in New York.
The apartment has a full kitchen if you prefer to cook, or many close restaurants and bars from which to chose. There is a great new little wine bar right around the corner.
There is also a (paid) laundry in the basement, just one flight of stairs away.
You can use this place as your New York base while exploring the city. Easy to get to anywhere from here. Mid town in 15 mins. A nice, safe and quiet neighborhood.
I am a student from Australia and rent my place out to help with my costs. I am quiet, respectful and clean and expect the same from my guests. I am happy to open up my home for you and want you to be comfortable during your stay and I will assist where I can to ensure that your experience here is a good one.
I also rent the entire apartment out at certain times of the year when I return home (ie during summer and the Christmas break) - please see my other listing for that.
There is a minimum of two nights for ALL bookings.
Interaction with Guests
I am fairly busy with my own commitments, so am out a lot of the time, but try to be available if guests need any help with directions, sites etc
My neighbourhood is very multicultural, making it always an interesting place to be. It is extremely safe.
Local 6 train gets you downtown quickly and efficiently.
No heavy drinking
No loud noise
No overnight guests
Please respect that this is my home
Pete's place is amazing. It looks exactly as the pictures probably even cleaner. Its super close to the 6 train and so its very easy to go around. Stayed there for two nights and got to talk to pete a number of times. Hes very accommodating and friendly and very easy to talk to. Hes fridge is filled with notes from previous guest, a testament to how good the experience is staying at his place. The water in the shower is really strong (and i mean STRONG) so its very nice when you want a quick shower. Probably the only thing i didnt like is the fact that the walls are thin and you can hear the other building occupants walking past his apartment in wee hours but thats not Pete's fault. Just make sure you bring earplugs if it bothers you. Overall, i would recommend this place and would definitely go back in the future.
Straight away I felt welcomed to his apartment, easy to contact. Quick response. Great guy, friendly, social outgoing. Easy to communicate with.
The apartment matched the description on Airbnb, with the inflatable mattres you felt very much in private. The apartments location was in a good neigbourhood, easy to get with the train anywhere!
This was my first AirBnB experience but certainly not my last. Pete is wonderful, but our schedules overlapped and I hardly got to see him. In the short time I did however I could tell what a wonderful person he is. His place is very cozy and clean. Conveniently located right by the subway. Would definitely recommend staying here!
I’m a first time Airbnb user. Stayed with Pete for 5 nights. Pete was very busy, but was always helpful and accommodating and an all-around nice guy. His apartment was clean, and the location was very close to the subway and Central Park. I would recommend his place to others.
This was my first Airbnb experience and it was great! Pete was a great host! I was out in the city all day, often coming in late, but it's nice have a nice place in NY in a good (email hidden)e apartment is really clean and I was feel at home. I recommended this property NY apartment, nice, clean and great host
New York was fabulous and being able to stay somewhere warm and comfortable was great after a long day of walking round the city. Pete is a great host, I didn't see him too often in my 11 day visit but when I did he always made me feel welcome and would have a chat which was nice. I had a great visit to New York and recommend Pete's place for fellow travellers, close to the subway, Central Park and not far from all the museums which was great! Thanks again for the hospitality Pete, I had an awesome time in the big apple!
Everything was as described, the communication was good, no problems at all! Peter was nice and welcoming, and even if we didn't see each other a lot, I had a nice time at his place. Bad luck for me, during the two days I spent there it was raining, so I didn't explore much, but it's super close to Central Park and several museums :)

I am an Australian student, living in New York full time. To supplement my tuition, I rent out my apartment on the UES. I am easy going, but only permit guests who are clean, considerate and respectful.
