Interaction with Guests
We visit with our guests every couple of days to insure their comfort and answer any questions that they may have about Bali, the culture and what to do and see during their visit.
The neighborhood is very convenient to everything in Ubud and is a microcosm of the best that Bali has to offer. A walk out to the rice fields will enable you to experience the daily life of the farmers in this agricultural community. Watch the ducks as they clean the rice fields and get them ready for a new crop; see locals washing their laundry in the streams; visit with local artisans in their homes and really get a sense of what Bali is all about!
Welcome to our home. Please treat this house as your own. We have tried to provide every convenience for your comfort. We have furnished it with artwork and several collectible pieces for you to enjoy.
Let our housekeeper know if anything is broken or does not work properly so that we can continue to maintain it.
Please write in our guestbook before you leave, and on the Trip Advisor website when you return home.
My husband and I have been traveling to Bali for many years, and have owned Villa Sunrise, a house on the north shore since 2004.
Last year, when we retired, we realized that we could enjoy a much better life on the island of Bali, than we could in the United States.
So... we decided to move to Bali full time and build a home near Ubud, the cultural heart of the island. We started building in Oct of 2010...and lo and behold!, were finished 6 months later. Everyone (including ourselves) was amazed at how quickly we had completed our project.
We now have 4 houses in Penestanan Ubud and another in Tejakula on the north shore. All of them are for rent...and when everything is full...we travel off to other lands.
We have put a lot of care and attention into building our houses and making them as comfortable as possible, while retaining a Balinese aesthetic. Our hope is that others will appreciate them and feel the same way that we do.
