Comfortable accomodation, but Balinese in aesthetic....the best of both worlds!

Interaction with Guests
We visit with our guests every couple of days to insure their comfort and answer any questions that they may have about Bali, the culture and what to do and see during their visit.
The neighborhood is very convenient to everything in Ubud and is a microcosm of the best that Bali has to offer. A walk out to the rice fields will enable you to experience the daily life of the farmers in this agricultural community. Watch the ducks as they clean the rice fields and get them ready for a new crop; see locals washing their laundry in the streams; visit with local artisans in their homes and really get a sense of what Bali is all about!
Welcome to our home. Please treat this house as your own. We have tried to provide every convenience for your comfort. We have furnished it with artwork and several collectible pieces for you to enjoy.
Let our housekeeper know if anything is broken or does not work properly so that we can continue to maintain it.

On being collected from the airport by Blu, Barbara's driver, we felt immediately comfortable & confident in our arrangements. Arriving late in the evening at Hyacinth House after a torch lit walk along a narrow, slightly precarious but enchanting Penenestan pathway, we felt a serenity & security in our lodgings- a beautiful home with privacy, views, gorgeous garden, lovely plunge pool & everything we needed to simply relax. Having travelled & stayed in Bali quite a number of times, this was however our first airbnb experience; we would absolutely reccommend!
Cosy place close to nature, fantastic breakfast and daily housekeeping. Different experience and definitely a great place to stay at for nature lovers
Hyacinth House was a brilliant find -the guide and driver Blue took exceptional care of us throughout our entire stay! Kutut the housekeeper makes amazing breakfasts for us and we love her Bali noodles and pancakes. The villa was serene and rustic right amidst the scenic padi fields of Bali and Yellow Flower Cafe nearby serves truly awesome food. Thanks to Barbara and Henry for a most lovely experience in Ubud!
A truly wonderful house. The environment, the surrounding paths dotted with great places to eat, a yoga studio all in the surrounding rice paddies was perfect.
Thanks to Barbara and Henry- our informative hosts and the great staff at Hyacinth House.
We highly recommend it!

From reservation to check out, everything went perfect. Barbara and her husband are great hosts and no question remained unanswered. They provide lots of information before and during the stay.
The house is as beautiful as you imagine it on the pictures. The staff is lovely and the breakfast just perfect! Walking distance to town and lots of restaurants around.
As our flight was in the evening, they let us kindly stay in the house until afternoon!!
Conclusion, it's an amazing place, from amazing people!
We definitely recommend this house and maybe we have the chance to come back one day!
Amazing! What a lovely piece of paradise. My family thoroughly loved Hyacinth House, the pool was lovely, beautiful garden, the bed was comfy and Ketut made yummy breakfast with fresh fruits each morning.
The host has everything covered from mozzie coils to international adapters to brochures to lovely housekeeping staff who assist in trips and help keep the house clean. We would definitely go back.
Waking up each morning to rosters crowing and eating in warongs owned by local Balinise families, massages a short walk away, great place to stay.
A fantastic place indeed! Henry and Barbara were so friendly and helpful, providing tons of information about the area, what to do in Ubud and Bali, where to eat etc etc. They also introduced a fantastic driver to us who we were extremely happy with. I highly recommend that you use their drivers. They know the place very well and if you're arriving late like we were, this is absolutely crucial because the place is very hard to find on your own.
The house itself was awesome! Exactly as advertised, it has a lovely indoor/outdoor feel to it and the plunge pool was just the right thing to have after a long day out and about. The caretaker Ketut was so friendly and she cooked the best breakfasts! (I highly recommend the Bali noodles!)
The whole area around Hyacinth was absolutely brilliant. It's set amongst a bunch of other villas and there were a ton of cafes, yoga places and spas around. Lovely little community. You're only a 10min walk from the middle of Ubud too.
Do note that you're in the rice fields which will inevitably mean some bugs. Didn't bother us but may bother some.

My husband and I have had a love affair with Bali for many years, buying our Villa Sunrise on the beach in 2004, opening an Indonesian furniture and art gallery in Santa Fe New Mexico, organizing yoga and meditation retreats, and now having built our Villa in the ricefields of Ubud.
Villa Semua Suka and Bungalow Jepun were built in 2011 to western standards with a Balinese esthetic.
We have decorated the villa with high quality Balinese art, furniture and artifacts. Villa Sunrise, Villa Semua Suka and Bungalow Jepun are our 'homes' not 'hotels'........welcome Home!
