Fully furnished monthly rental near the beach.
Great place to spend a relaxing summer in this 3 Bedroom/2 Bathroom updated beach cottage. It is a short walk to the beach, lighthouse, and entertainment in Biloxi. Shopping, local restaurants and parks are also located nearby. The large eat-in kitchen is tiled and has a large laundry closet with washer and dryer. Other appliances include refrigerator, gas range, microwave, and dishwasher. The bathrooms have stone flooring, all other rooms are hardwood. Located midway between Mobile, Alabama and New Orleans, LA.
The front bedroom has a full bed, the middle bedroom has a full and a twin bed, and the master bedroom has a queen sized bed.
House, driveway, and fenced in back patio area with a grill.
There are a few bikes at the house that have been left by previous guests. I can't guarantee their condition but, you are welcome to use them.
Interaction with Guests
I love visiting the nearby park, the beach, and the West End Fire House Museum with my son.
And, there are plenty of things to do for adults nearby, as well.
There is a nearby spot on the beach (at Porter and Beach Blvd. in front of the lighthouse) for bonfires (you have to get a permit through the Harrison County Sand Beach Authority).
If you are unfamiliar with the area:
There are train tracks that run along the Mississippi Gulf Coast which run between the house and the beach. The train comes by every few hours or so and is noticeable but is generally a fact of life along this portion of the Gulf Coast, at least in proximity to the beach. Most people find that it fades into the background; but it can take some getting used to, if you are sensitive to it. My (two year old) son loves it and it is probably the highlight of his time here.
There are several nearby bus stops (within a block or two), including the Beach Comber on Beach Blvd. The beach and downtown are easily accessible by bike or walking.
Other Things to Note
If you have any special requests, please let me know and I will try to accommodate them. For example: If you want specialty products or organic groceries, prepare a list and I can bring the items over from New Orleans and have them for you when you arrive.
Well behaved pets will be considered with a non-refundable pet deposit.
Nettes und gemütliches Haus mit einer wunderbaren "porch". Es bietet viel Platz und auch eine Waschmaschine und einen Trockner. Die Kommunikation mit der Gastgeberin hat hervorragend geklappt.
the house was perfect. family friendly, great kitchen! happy toddler and happy parents. so many little extras that just made the stay an easy transition from home to vacation home. and clean! and comfortable! thanks again!
We booked last second after a vacation tragedy and this place worked for our family perfectly and saved the week! Very close to the beach, groceries, lighthouse, and so much more. You couldn't get a better location for enjoying Biloxi as it's also minutes from Casinos and everything else there is to do. The only downside is how close it is to the train tracks which has trains a couple of times each night / early morning, but we enjoyed the fun of that and even left with many a smashed penny souvenir. We were a family with 4 kids and were comfortable and really loved the place. I would highly recommend it. Christina worked with us and had literally everything you could think of and more for our stay including a tent for shade at the beach, toiletries, and laundry stuff for all of our clean clothes.
The house is beautiful, clean, and well represented in the pictures. We appreciated having three bedrooms and two baths (ideal with 2 daughters, age 18 and 20). The walk to the beach was easy. Restaurants and grocery store were convenient. I highly recommend "Walk to Biloxi Beach"! We had a wonderful, relaxing time.
I stayed at this lovely home with my husband and baby, along with my sister-in-law, husband and their two year old daughter. It was PERFECT for our 4 day stay. It was definitely a home, not a house. The decor was simple and not overwhelming and the place had a nice flow to it. We hung out on the porch a lot - both of our kids loved the front porch swing and bubbles. The adults really enjoyed the back patio for some post-baby drinks and conversation. We have family down there and already know that the next time we come back down to Mississippi to visit, we'll definitely be staying here.
What a lovely place! Easy walk to the beach, close to grocery, mexican and seafood joint. The host went out of her way to make us comfortable...even providing a little shade tent for those of us who can't do the sun. Comfy living room and even a great selection of DVDs. And the kitchen is crowd friendly too! Don't be afraid of the train coming thru...we slept thru it all. Added to the ambiance. We will be back!

I live with my husband (French) and son (demi-francais) in New Orleans, LA. We lived in Biloxi before moving to New Orleans, and still enjoy spending some time there to get out of the city and relax at the beach. My background is in Architecture and Historic Preservation. My husband and I love to travel both in the states and internationally.
