Apartment - Entire home/apt · Rue De La Folie Méricourt, Paris, Ile-de-France 75011, France

Close to the main centres of interest...an ideal way to enjoy this fantastic city in complete freedom.

The Space

Enjoy a slice of Parisian history and stay in an authentic Haussmann apartment. Sleeping up to five people, it is a charming apartment (50 m²) with parquet floors, mouldings and a fireplace with two adjoining bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and a large balcony decorated with flowers. On the fifth floor without a lift, appreciate the clear view of Paris and get excited by how central this apartment is to so many attractions. A short walk away are three Metro stations with numerous connections to the main line RER, airport, taxi and bus stations nearby.

The movida room :
An association of clear bright colours lightens this room with a design decoration just a touch psychedelic to recall the sensual and slightly kitsch ambiance of the films of Pedro Almodovar....But it’s only an unpretentious nod and a wink !
Associated with an old fashioned setting of mouldings, parquet floor and fireplace the overall effect comes across as rather appealing... judge for yourself.
With it’s two single beds (new bedding), which can be pushed together, you’ll sleep well into the morning. And if you can’t get to sleep you could watch some TV or a DVD.
This room can be converted into a lounge when the apartment is occupied by 1 or 2 people.
The room leads onto the balcony where you can lounge or take your breakfast during fine weather.

The ethnic room :
Because our travels to various parts of the world have given us some wonderful memories this room contains testimony to the emotions felt upon contact with marvelous children, women, men and places. You’ll find a warm and comfortable atmosphere by the fireplace.
The room has a large bed 140x190 (new bedding).
The room leads onto the balcony where you can lounge or take your breakfast during fine weather.

The Neighborhood

This area typically Parisian, is nice, trendy and popular with, near the rue Oberkampf and its restaurants, bars, shops ... what to spend your evenings in the festive atmosphere.
Also near the City Hall and the Marais district, the oldest district of Paris is also known for its "gay life".
Still near the Canal Saint Martin now so characteristic of "Paris bobo" or you end up on Sunday for a picnic with friends, rollerblading or cycling ... Canal where you can also navigate a real curiosity
The boulevard that stretches from the Place de la Bastille to the canal Saint Martin passing under your balcony gives oxygen and greenery with tall trees and colorful flower beds. It is (email hidden)ly area with the market very closeby (every Tuesday and Friday morning), its flea markets, and petanque players place.

Near the apartment many shops, supermarkets, restaurants, bars, theaters, discos, cultural sites, services ...

You can move by feet or by public transport and easy access to all tourist attractions that dot the capital, Eiffel Tower Montmartre, Notre Dame to the Champs Elysees, Invalides at Parc de la Villette, Pere Lachaise at the Louvre, without forgetting the Seine with its many bridges and monuments ... a treat!

Bike rental, the Vélibs so pleasant ...

Other Things to Note

We participated at the very beginning of the adventure airbnb in Paris in 2008 and I had the pleasure to spend a day with Joe, one of the founders.
I have often worked independently of airbnb but I'm happy to be back with this apartment.

  • We had a wonderful stay in this apartment. The location was really great, especially with the Bakery just next door! Even supermarkets were close by. We were a party of 4 adults and just found this a wonderful base for exploring Paris! Hope to come again in the future.

  • Pascal & Pascal's apartment is beautiful - perfect Paris! They were open and helpful whenever we needed it and generous with their time.

Everything was as described - we had a fantastic two weeks living like a Parisian! The bakery at the bottom of the building, the supermarket and the bar along the street and the very close Metro station(s) made everything easier. We loved it!

Thanks again Pascal (and sorry for the late review!!)

  • Our stay at Pascal's couldn't have been better. The apartment is charming and spacious, filled with amenities and conveniently located. There's a wonderful bakery on the ground floor where we got fresh pastries every morning (even though a free breakfast is supplied with the apartment), there's a metro stop right around the corner, literally a 90-second walk from the front door, and I didn't even mind the 4th-floor walk-up because it gave us a chance to say Bonjour to the very friendly neighbours every morning. No detail was overlooked and everything was just as described in the ad, and then some. Pascal himself was very helpful, checking in with us to make sure all was well during our stay. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to live, as the description says, like a true Parisian. Merci Beaucoup, Pascal, et j'espère que nous pouvons vous rencontrez encore.
