Our House is a Dormer Bungalow in an estate which is in a Village setting - both rural and quiet. It is a largish, 4-bedroom property that is comfortable throughout with all modern conveniences. There is ample, free Parking outside the House.
While rural, the house is close to the M1 Motorway which gives quick access to the Airport, Dublin City and the M50 Motorway.
Close by is the Town of Drogheda with all the shopping facilities one needs, Restaurants and Cultural/Entertainment activities.
Donore is wonderful Touring Hub - with many interesting and fun things to do: Close by are Newgrange, Battle-of-the-Boyne Site, Slane, Tara and much more.
House and Garden while respecting individual needs, etc.
We like to see how our guests are getting on with their touring, etc.; we provide a light Breakfast; we try to assist as best we can, if needed... "Respect" is the keynote.
It's an old historic setting with lovely countryside feel yet close to all amenities...
The Village has no regular Transport services except in Summer - when limited - but is close to very good Transport Hub in Drogheda. For touring the Sites a car is best for convenience and time-saving.

Our stay with Patrick was for only one night but it was extremely restful. The best accomodations we had for our stay in Ireland. Were were greeted warmly by Patrck and his wife. Upon our arrival our hosts brought us in for a delicious pot of tea and cake. We got to know each other quickly and they made us feel right at home. Gave us some great suggestions for dinner in Drogheda and suggested some local must see sites. Our room was very inviting, the bed very comfortable, the bathroom was equipped with both a tub and shower with plenty of hot water. The towels were large and soft plus bathrobes were provided. The breakfast was delicious and there was plenty to eat. Patrick was very attentive and helpful. Location is great for exploring Meath and Dublin is a short drive away. You can't ask for a better place to stay in Ireland. Our only complaint was we didn't stay longer. We highly reccommend staying at 'Ancient Ways'.

Patrick and his wife are lovely people. They are helpful with anything you need, Pat even printed me off my boarding pass for my next flight. The room was very comfortable and the house immaculate. I would have loved to have stayed longer as this place is a great springboard for visiting all the significant sites in the area ie. Newgrange and battle of the boyne. Thanks, hope to see you guys again some day. All the best
