Relax in thoughtfully designed spaces, savor your morning coffee on the private deck, or explore nearby ski resorts. We are located just 15 minutes to Mount Snow Ski Resort, 45 minutes to Stratton and 75 min to Okemo. Book now and let your escape take flight!

The space
Welcome to the Birdhouse Retreat! The gravel driveway can easily accommodate at least 4 vehicles. We are located in a private cul-de-sac just 15 min to Mount Snow Ski Resort, 45 min to Stratton. We are also 15 min. to the boat launch of gorgeous Lake Whitingham where you can rent jet skis & sailboats or go swimming & fishing at the Harriman Reservoir or Lake Raponda. Hike trails to the charming town of Wilmington with its adorable shops & restaurants. Directly behind our Birdhouse Retreat you will have your own private access to the VAST snowmobiling trail. No matter what season you choose, fall in love with this special place! Wilmington is also home to Serenity Spa (if you are feeling like some pampering), Haystack Golf Club (open to the public) & a wide variety of wonderful art galleries, restaurants and shops!

Upon entering the house, you will find a mudroom for all of your jackets, boots, skis/snowboards and gloves/mittens. Please remove your shoes inside of the mudroom. The laundry room to your right, behind the barn door, is fully stocked. The first floor has inviting living/dining areas with a TV over the wood burning fireplace. The kitchen is fully equipped with a chef's needs in mind. Stocked with spices, olive oil and coffee/tea. To finish out the first floor, there is the master bedroom, with the king size bed and the full bathroom to include a multi-function shower system with rainfall, waterfall, and body sprays for an enhanced bathroom experience.

The living area is warmed by a wood burning fireplace, comfy sectional seating and a large table for games. Designed for ultimate relaxation and fun! You will find board games, books, a record player & internet/Netflix enabled TV. Everything you need to enjoy a fun night with friends and family. Don't forget to step out to the large deck where you will find the 8 person hot tub.

Upstairs you will find 2 bunk bed rooms, another full bath (including soaking tub), large vaulted ceiling bedroom and the loft with large window.

Step outside to enjoy the outdoor Breeo fire pit to enjoy your s'mores while taking in the crisp air. Enjoy a walk in the woods right off of the deck.

The Birdhouse Retreat is a place to dream a little, play a little and indulge in quintessential Vermont nostalgia. Enjoy some time to disconnect and reconnect with friends & family.

Guest access
We want you to feel right at home. Guests will have access to the whole house other than the owner's closet and basement/utility rooms, which will both be locked. All outdoor areas, including fire pit are available for guests to enjoy!

Other things to note
The Birdhouse Retreat is certainly perfect for a snowy winter skiing vacation, but it's also absolutely magical in the fall, and the summers here are the best in New England! Springtime is a delight as well. We look forward to hosting you and we hope you fall in love with our home and the wonderful Wilmington area like we have!

*We have inflatable paddleboards and life vests available upon request.

*We also have 2 kayaks, but you will have to be able to get them to the lakes.

*Blackstone portable grill available upon request.

*Snow tires are required in the winter and AWD is highly recommended if you plan to venture up to Mount Snow.
