John, Brenda & kids ~ Your Innkeepers
Beautiful location with very relaxing atmosphere. Room was exactly as advertised and there were even a library of DVDs and books to rent for after the sun was down. Gracious service thougout entire experience and very thankful for those amazing breakfasts
The accommodations were perfect for two people and the property was beautiful. Self-checkin was easy and the directions given by the hosts via email worked out precisely. This is one unit in the BnB; there are other ones at the main house and next door. It's very quiet which is nice after a long day. There's also a great deck for relaxing and the kitchen is well stocked with utensils (wine glasses!). Breakfast in the morning was delicious and the hosts served you themselves. It was like being at camp, but with better amenities! Plus the bed was very comfortable. Tip: It's about an hour and a half drive from the Yosemite Park entrance. Driving on the roads at night are not ideal, so if you're there to visit the park be sure to head back with enough daylight.
We did a last minute booking for our trip to Yosemite. Though we didn't see Brenda, we saw John her husband who provide us some tips for our trip during our breakfast. We stayed in the Oak suite which had a super comfy bed, living area, kitchenette, and large bathroom. Everything was cute and tidy. The drive to the park using the west entrance was about an hour and the South entrance was 1.5 hours.
We had a very late check-in but Brenda was accommodating and their system was easy and convenient. They were excellent hosts. John's recommendations at Yosemite and in Mariposa really made our experience great. They also spent time preparing a folder of regional information that was very valuable. The lobby overlooks a mountain and has a great view. Everything was clean the rooms are beautiful. Overall, John's wealth of knowledge, beautiful accommodations, and excellent breakfast (as good as any in San Francisco) made our visit a great one. We would not hesitate is coming back and highly recommend staying with them!
Very cozy and clean cabin, perfect for a night after hiking in Yosemite. We easily self-checked-in. Brenda and John had left on the table a nice booklet with tips for Yosemite and a lot of recommendations for restaurants. We met our host and their adorable daughter in the morning for a delicious breakfast that they serve between 8 and 9.30am. They are very welcoming and took the time to advise us on hikes for the day and even tips on a shorter way for our return to the Bay area. We’ll be definitely coming back!
Brenda was a great host. Very responsive and accommodating. The unit was exactly as pictured. Very clean. This location is between the entrances to Yosemite and the drive into the park is beautiful on either one. We also had the best meal ever in Oakhurst at Erna's Elderberry House! Thank you, Brenda.
