The suite was great!! Private and out of the way. Spacious enough for more than 2 people! It put us right in the middle of everyplace we wanted to visit. The host recommendations of restaurants never steered us wrong. Thanks so much!!!
Brenda went above and beyond to make our stay special. The views were beautiful and the food was so healthy, hearty and fresh.
We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay in the Explorer suite and very much appreciated the trust and generosity of Brenda and John. We were also impressed by the helpfulness of their children fortunate to have such good examples to follow.
The scenic view of the Yosemite is fabulous. To live in such an area must also have its effect.
We left the Yosemite fully refreshed. (The only snag was that the car rental GPS was badly programmed. The 'home' button that was to supposed take us to San Francisco Airport, took us every else but there! When I tried to reprogram, it even rejected 'San Francisco Airport'! I add this only as a warning to those who plan to rent a car from San Francisco Airport to go to the Yosemite, for example. Check out the home button first).
Many thanks to Brenda and John for such an agreeable stay, and sincere compliments!
As advertised. Room comfortable and breakfast very good, especially on the deck overlooking a small valley. Parking good. Hosts very enjoyable, outgoing and friendly. Its about an hour and 20 minutes from Yosemite valley floor either way you go ( South Entrance or West Entrance, but West entrance easier driving and less crowded). Good location if you want to visit Tuolumne Meadows and HetchHetchy. About 18 minutes from Oakhurst.
We had a great stay at Explorers B&B. Brenda and her husband run a tight ship and they know Yosemite inside and out so you have the benefit of their recommendations on hikes and must-see places. The location is great, a bit far from the park but it has a beautiful view of the mountains. The rooms are a very spacious and clean. All in all, I highly recommend staying here on your next Yosemite visit.
The Epplers are so helpful and welcoming. Very quick to respond. And, had I not been rushing out early in the morning, they offer what smelled like a delicious breakfast in the morning. The house is wonderful, and has a very enjoyable common area with books to read, movies to check out, and maps/guidebooks. Also, within 1-1.5 hours, you can be hiking in Yosemite Valley. The whole area is beautiful though, not just Yosemite. Great place to stay in the Spring with the wildflowers. Overall, so pleased with my stay and grateful for the hospitality!
The place had everything we needed, and it was only a few short miles into town. Overall, it had a beautiful look and feel!
My husband and I had a great stay for two days in the Explorer Suite. It was comfortable and remarkably roomy. It was like a small apartment! Even though being off-season, with only "bed" no "breakfast," we were warmly welcomed by Brenda and felt like we had our own little home away from home. She had some invaluable tips for local dining and getting to Yosemite the "local way," that I'm sure cut down on tedious car time. Just note, the drive into Yosemite Valley is just over an hour, but the drive is easy. It was no problem for us. :) We will definitely stay again at Brenda's incredibly charming B&B should we find ourselves in the Yosemite area again.
Brenda's place was great to stay at. I stopped in just to take photos in Yosemite while I made my way up California. I definitely need to plan an extended stay here. So amazing at night and the air just feels fresher out there.
Close to Yosemite, highways, grocery stores, and dining. :)
The place was clean and offered a great base camp for Yosemite. Thanks!
