The suite was great!! Private and out of the way. Spacious enough for more than 2 people! It put us right in the middle of everyplace we wanted to visit. The host recommendations of restaurants never steered us wrong. Thanks so much!!!
We had a wonderful time in Brenda's apartment. Everything was nice and cozy and we have been really sad that we had just one day! Thank you for hosting us!
We didn't have the opportunity to meet Brenda, but according to the few exchanges per mail and phone that we had had, Brenda seems to be a very kind host.
What we loved:
- The view on the valley in the lodge,
- The big room that we had,
- the decoration in the Lobby
- Very quiet
- close to Yosemite
- A lots of advice (book) for guests
What we would have loved to have:
- a pan and a cooking plate in the kitchen. We couldn't cook some eggs for breakfast for example.
- more cooking utensil
Warm welcome even though we arrived very late! Comfortable room, spacious, great selection of DVD's, perfect after a long day in the National park, beautiful upstairs balcony looking out over the woods, I can recommend this place!
We spent two nights in the Explorer Suite at the Sierra Mountain Lodge. The suite was large and clean with everything we needed for our stay. Brenda and John were very accommodating, answering all of our questions and providing advice on hiking trails and places of interest. The breakfast provided in the morning was particularly good with a variety of hot and cold options. We would definitely recommend Sierra Mountain Lodge for anyone visiting Yosemite.
Adorable place, excellent view, delicious breakfast, and great hosts!
This was a terrific and affordable find...only a little more than an hour to the Yosemite Valley, and who can beat the views along the way? Brenda and her husband were truly generous with advice and delicious food (sidenote: the breakfast is best enjoyed on the sunny wraparound porch). I would not even hesitate to recommend this find to others, and I can't wait to come back.
P.S. My friend left a personal possession in our room, and Brenda shipped it back to the East Coast at no charge to us. She is kindness and hospitality personified!
Brenda went above and beyond to make our stay special. The views were beautiful and the food was so healthy, hearty and fresh.
