We have a great bedroom with a private bathroom. It is quiet. A residential neighborhood walking distance to shops and restaurants. Two blocks from bus stop, hospital, and many local amenities. We two friendly dogs.
We are a 15 minute walk to downtown Napa. centrally located, in residential Napa neighborhood, we have an extra bedroom with private bathroom. You can walk to Trader Joes's and Whole Foods, and many excellent restaurants, Queen size bed sleeps two comfortably. This is our home, nothing fancy, but a comfortable place to sleep while you explore the Napa Valley by day. We have two dogs, so if you are allergic, this isn't a good place for you.
You are also welcome to our kitchen and laundry facilities. We are longtime residents, and know all the history and some great non-touristy places to visit. A public bus stop is two blocks from our home. So is the local hospital, shops and many restaurants. Î

As much if as little as they prefer.
My neighborhood is walking distance to several restaurants off the tourist grid....and Trader Joe's and Whole Foods. It is safe. I have several great squirrels demanding food in the morning.
Bus stop is two blocks from my doorstep.
No smoking in the house,
Yvonne was a nice host. There were a few more details of the place that I had wished were in the description of the place or that a previous reviewer would have spoken to that I did not find out until we arrived. One thing that I was not to fond of is that the front door remains unlocked at all times so when we arrived and no one was there we were greeted by a barking dog at the front door and then made our way through the house trying to figure out which room was ours. Also, there was no key to our room so we were unable to lock our own items up. If you happens to have allergies it's not an ideal place to stay as the place does smell a lot like animals. I had to keep the windows open to help with the smell at night. We also woke up early to a chirping pet bird and Saturday morning woke up around 3 am to the house sitter talking loudly on the phone for several minutes. Although I respect the fact that she recycles medical equipment, it doesn't feel like a super welcoming place when you pull up to several medical devices sitting in the driveway and on the front patio. Though Yvonne was very nice I did feel like the place was a bit misrepresented.
I am very surprised to read this review. There is no key to,the bedroom because Airbnb guests have been continually losing it, or taking it with them. As Sarah told me, she is a physical therapist, and I am astounded by her feelings about her feelings about the medical, equipment, especially since they are connected to the work she does. And, finally, birds do chirp and dogs do bark. if one does not like animals, do not stay at places that have them. Mostly thought I would like all people who are considering Airbnb to understand that you are staying in a private home. We live here. For you to come into our lives, and then submit harsh judgements because we are not up to your standards....well, frankly, Napa has many hotels and resorts that you can stay at and for the prices where you can make demands and criticisms to your hearts content, My home is a place I share because I believe in community and connection, it is a statement of who I am and what I do for a living. I am very hurt by this review. it is not fair, nor does it accurately reflect reality.
We just had a very short stay but we can definitely recommend Yvonne and her place. It's very neat and clean. We checked in more or less without announcing but Yvonne was very welcoming and accommodating. Her bed is super soft and comfortable. Looking out of the window you see her backyard. It is very quite. Within 5 minutes drive you reach the first vineyards. Yvonne knows all the places and is sharing her knowledge.
Overall it was very good. If we're going back to Napa we'll stay with her again.
We had a wonderful time! Yvonne was a wonderful guest. We had everything we needed :)
Nice spot to explore Napa from. Near the finish of the Napa Marathon. Walking to Napa would have been a long walk but everything was accessible by car or bike. Trader Joes, Whole Foods, Peet's Coffee...were all near. Quite neighborhood. Yvonne was out of town but she communicated with us plenty. Comfortable room and private bath were just what we needed for our marathon weekend.
Yvonne was a nice host. We came only for one night and didn't spend much time in the neighborhood or the room, but the bed was very comfortable!
Yvonne is very kind and welcoming. The room with private bath was very quiet and nice. When we arrived we found fresh baked goods and fruit. The bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.
My home is your home best describes the great hospitality of Yvonne. She was kind enough to offer a great room with private bathroom to my son Nikolaj, a college student, during his internship in Napa. Being back in Belgium, Nikolaj cannot stop telling me about the awesome time he had in Napa. For an important part he owes that to Yvonne and her family and friends that spent so much time with him during his stay in the US. Yvonne is communally involved with her own business and a respected member of the society.
Her two wonderful dogs and Nikolaj got along really well immediately. Very often they went for an evening walk together and had lots of fun.
The room is spacious and has a very comfortable bed and the private bathroom is really great.
Though Nikolaj is home again he really is missing his second home in Napa, the great conversations he had with Yvonne and having fun with the dogs.
My wife and I had the pleasure of having dinner with Yvonne in beautiful Napa and hope to see her soon again someday.
Thank you for everything!!!
