Discover the rich history and winemaking traditions of Fattoria Selvapiana, our family estate since 1827. You’ll taste four of our renowned Sangiovese wines—including an exclusive vintage of our flagship Bucerchiale—after exploring the estate and learning about the unique Rufina terroir in Tuscany. • I’ll start by sharing Selvapiana’s history and guiding you through the Bucerchiale vineyard. Depending on the season, I’ll share insights on the vineyard’s phenological timing and our sustainable management practices. •We’ll tour the vinification cellar to see how Selvapiana transforms grapes into wine, and delve into the crafting of Vin Santo—from grape drying and aging in four types of wood to its status as one of Tuscany’s iconic wines. • As we visit our historic cellar, home to vintages dating back to 1947, you’ll learn about my grandfather’s vision for aging Rufina Sangiovese and its enduring legacy. Cap off the experience with a guided tasting of four wines, including the celebrated Bucerchiale Riserva, while gaining a deeper appreciation for the traditional and sustainable winemaking methods that brought them to life.

Cook with Cristiana and Mamma Nora

During my cooking class, you will be able to immediately immerse yourself in a familiar and informal atmosphere, also thanks to the warm and welcoming ways of Mamma Nora. Before you know it, you will find yourself with an apron around your neck and ready to be part of her kitchen! You will discover and learn the secrets of homemade pasta, how to prepare a good savory sauce to accompany it and make one of the most famous Italian desserts: Tiramisù. Of course the menu can change according to guests's requests and to the season. We will cook together using mainly our all organic products, starting from the eggs of my hens. we will use flours of ancient Tuscan grains and above all we will cook with seasonal vegetables as they did in the past. We will cook inside the old celler of the Farm, as it is the coolest place we could find in summer! We will visit the garden to pick up some herbs, and for the brave ones, there will be a visit to our chicken coop! Once finished working, we will set the table and we will finally enjoy our wonderfully prepared meals. Other things to note Please, bring a lot of joy! We will spend the day together so It is forbidden to be sad! In summer, as we are in the country side, please wear long trousers and closed shoes... or bring mosquitos repellent cream. The WINEdering Bike, Bike Tour & Wine Tasting

This tour, easy and accessible to anyone, is an amazing opportunity for wine lovers to discover and visit small wineries, sample local specialties and high quality wine. The E-bike allows guests to cycle in relaxation and enjoy the beautiful Umbrian landscapes. In a beautiful ring itinerary, we will cross picturesque views of the valleys, villages and lake. When you arrive at the cellar, you'll find a visit to the vineyards and a delicious wine tasting, accompanied by cured meats, cheeses and other local products. If you do not have your bike any problem; we can provide them to you (you will pay the additional price of 35€ for the rental of each bike) using one of our rental partners. The experience lasts about 4 hours (stops included). - The departure time of the tour can be agreed together according to your needs. - It is possible to arrange the departure of the tour from the Passignano sul Trasimeno railway station.

Cooking at my Tuscan Home ❤️

I am happy to welcome you in my home among olive trees & vineyards. My kitchen is big, with a spacious table, fully and simply equipped. We will prepare 2 traditional Tuscan dishes of the area between Florence and Arezzo or tradional italian ones. Dishes vary upon the seasons following heritage recipes as Pappa al pomodoro , Homemade Pizza, Ravioli spinach & ricotta, Tagliatelle Ragu, Vegetarian Tagliatelle, Gnocchi sorrentina, Pici ( Tuscan pasta ), Orecchiette ( South Italy pasta), Typical Tuscan appetizers & seasonal bruschettas, Stewed chicken , Amatriciana sauce, Carbonara sauce, Cacio e Pepe sauce, Tiramisù. I use fresh herbs from my garden and extravergin olive oil from the groves around my home. After cooking, we enjoy the meal together as a family with local Chianti wine. You will receive my family recipes so you can cook them again when you are back home and share them with your friends and beloved ones to save them through the time. If you book quite in advance, the menu can be personalized. Send me a message if the date or time you require is not available. Vegetarians are welcomed, menu personalized available for intolerances and allergie. No celiacs/gluten free. Learn to prepare and make traditional pasta such as pici, ravioli, tagliatelle, Guitar Spaghetti, cavatelli or gnocchi in this fun adventure: after preparing the pasta by hand, I will help you prepare tempting accompanying sauces such as Aglione's typical fresh sauce, Ragù, Carbonara, Basil Pesto or any other with fresh seasonal ingredients, growing in our vegetable organic garden! Our professional kitchen, The Tuscan Kitchen Studio, with access to the garden, will be the perfect set to make this experience unique and unforgettable. At the end of the lesson, we will cook and we will enjoy lunch/dinner with the different pasta types that we have prepared during the cooking class, 'Al fresco' under our pergola in the garden. Wine Tasting&Tour is a unique experience at Pomaio. For about an hour and a half we will take you inside our world focused on sustainable quality wine and on its production. Most of the experience takes place outdoor, between the vineyard and the cellar, then the tasting take place in the spacious areas of our tasting room and in our garden terrace, with a breathtaking view of Arezzo. The tour is divided in 3 phases: tour of the vineyard where we will introduce us to the principles of sustainable cultivation, tour in the modern ECO-Green cellar (included among the 13 most beautiful design wineries of Tuscany) talking about the vinification technique and sustainable production, tasting of 3 wines combined with great craft food from local producers. Our mission is to give you the chance to learn a little bit more about wine, the process to make it, and the best way to enjoy it. It's not just about drinking, but about leaving Pomaio with some useful tips that will enrich you and your passion for wine and food. Other things to note: Comfortable shoes are suggested. Wine Tasting, a charming glass of Tuscany

Visit of the new winery of Via della Stella, including a wine tasting. We will have a nice walk through the olive grove and the vegetable garden, accompanied by Chiara or a collegue. We will then take you to the new cellar where you will feel the place where our wines come to life. The modernity of the equipment combined with the charm of the old farmhouse make it a unique and authentic experience.
