It’s one of the world’s most unique accommodation listings; IKEA Australia is working together with the world’s leading community driven hospitality company, Airbnb, to offer Aussies a rare chance to bed down in the big blue box.
Celebrating its support for the sharing economy through the unique accommodation listing, IKEA Australia is set to inspire the nation to make more of their homes. From clearing and creating space to making homes guest ready, the activity opens up doors to the collaboration economy.

The latest listing on Airbnb is the showroom at the IKEA store in Tempe, Sydney. Promising guests a truly unusual experience, where the IKEA bedroom displays will be transformed into a quirky accommodation option as the store opens its doors to guests for one night only on Sunday 31st August. 
Located close to the airport and with city views, complete with elevator and escalator access, Scandinavian influence and an adjacent kitchen diner, the IKEA Tempe store will be the most distinctive destination for a one-off Sydney overnighter. 
Adding her personal touch to co-style one of the rooms alongside IKEA interior design experts, will be Airbnb host Claire Ferguson. The host brings experience from her Sydney home, which with its modern feel and a splash of colour has become a hit with travellers from around the globe.
