Linda Mar Beach is the southernmost of Pacifica’s large beaches. This classic California beach marks the northern gateway to the coastline, stretching south of San Francisco, and is widely regarded as the best beach for surfing, kayaking and water play in the Bay Area. A variety of retailers offer rentals of surfboards, kayaks and lessons all year around. Private surf camps for children and adults operate during the summer. Linda Mar Beach also offers a bike and walking trail along the ocean, restrooms, showers and whale watching in the spring. It is also very popular with dog owners who must keep their pets on a leash. This is also where the most beautiful award winning Taco Bell is! Parking fee is $7.00 for a period of less than 4 hours and $9.00 for a period of more than 4 hours (or all day).

From Marci's guidebook

WARNING! The beach at the pier (below the property on the other side of the freeway) has the most drownings, and considered very dangerous (MANY rip tides there). Go to Pacifica State Beach instead. -Locals know it as Linda Mar Beach or Taco Bell Beach. Pacifica State Beach is great for Surfing, beach combing or going into the water (about 10 min. via 101 So. by car).

Mor

From Mor's guidebook

Renowned for its scenic beauty and diverse activities, Linda Mar Beach in Pacifica is a must-visit. Surfers flock to its consistent waves, making it a prime spot to catch some rides or witness skilled surfers in action. For those seeking a more relaxed pace, the beach stretches out for leisurely strolls, offering stunning ocean views and the calming sounds of waves crashing on the shore. And, adding to the unique charm, there's the "iconic" Taco Bell located right on the beach. . Voted the best fast food location in the US by the food network. This Taco Bell, with its ocean views and Cantina format featuring adult beverages, is a popular post-surf or stroll stop for a delicious bite and unbeatable scenery. Local tip: go there in the later afternoon and sit on the deck to view the sunset. Don't forget to get a margarita...... Don't forget to bring warm cloths as it becomes a bit chilly in the evening.
