San Francisco Bay Sailing Awesomeness
Get a taste for what an awesome experience living, working and voyaging on a classic sailboat can be, while viewing fantastic landmarks from the uncrowded deck of " Alsager ", using sustainable and eco friendly wind power. Perhaps choose an evening sail, and enjoy a wonderful sunset. We will be outside only, with plenty of space, breathing clean Pacific air! Get a little salty while we sail and chat about what it's like going far from land and crossing oceans, from endless waves and wind, to calm nights under starry skies. Get a feel for what it's like to live and thrive in a constantly moving small space, in a beautiful but unforgiving environment. Hear what it's like to battle Tuna and Sailfish while under sail, and have the freshest sushi minutes later. And to anchor in tropical anchorages, bathe in the sea, and surf uncrowded waves right from the boat. Ask as little or as much as you like about surviving storms, living in foreign countries, meeting great cruising friends, and unplugging from normal living to find another path. Perhaps, ask how you can get started yourself. Spend time aboard a unique, rugged, beautiful boat with numerous Atlantic Ocean crossings and a Panama Canal transit under her belt, that has provided a safe and peaceful haven for her crew over the span of five decades in a green, earth friendly fashion. Great for groups and team-building too!
Taste the Finest Wines in the World
1. You'll be introduced to the site, Halleck Vineyard, and a bit about its history in Sonoma County. You will be introduced by the vintner to the land and the vines. 2. We will sit down and learn how to taste: why do we smell to begin? what does our tongue taste? what is the reason and benefit in pairing wine with food? 3. We will go through 7-8 wines along with 5-6 food pairings, all from the neighborhood and explore how different they taste and the nuances of each. And we'll taste different pairings and how they each bring something to the experience. 4. We'll learn about wine in human history, 8000 years in the making. 5. We talk about building community through wine, how we convert wine into good for our world. 6. You'll meet interesting people and how much we share in common. 7. This tasting educational, fun, and intimate: perfect for groups and team-building. Other things to note Come with curiosity and interest in wine, prepared to enjoy yourself. Food pairings are bites, and are meant to be illustrative rather than a meal.

Sailing on the San Francisco Bay
Enjoy a relaxing sail while soaking in breathtaking views overlooking Sausalito, Belvedere, Angel Island, and the Golden Gate Bridge. You'll get the opportunity to learn introductory sailing skills, given the chance to take the helm and drive the boat or just sit back and enjoy the sights. During the sail you'll see an abundance of wildlife; including seals, sea lions, multiple species of birds and the occasional harbor porpoise. We've even spotted humpback whales on a few occasions during whale season. It's the perfect way to unwind and will be an experience you'll never forget. Please be sure to contact the host if you'd like to modify the starting time or customize the experience in anyway. Other things to note Please wear flat, closed-toe shoes with rubber soles. Dress comfortably and in layers as the weather can change quite quickly. It's okay to bring your own food and drinks along for the sail.
Make friends at a farm animal sanctuary
Join us for a day at the sanctuary and meet a variety of rescued farm animals. We'll share their stories of resilience and healing and also talk about the industries they come from. You'll love meeting our animal ambassadors and may be surprised at what you learn since we so rarely see the animals in our food system. The Experience will last approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Please be mindful that, as a sanctuary for rescued animals, our priority is the physical and emotional wellbeing of the animals who call Charlie's Acres home. Our animal residents are completely free and always have a choice whether or not they interact with visitors. They will reside at the sanctuary for the rest of their lives, where we'll have the honor of taking care of them. Tours are available in French or Spanish by request. Private tours are recommended for families with young kids. We are operating under current Sonoma County COVID-19 safety guidelines, and protocol is subject to change. Visitors should be prepared to wear face coverings if needed. As the tour is outdoors in open spaces, you'll be able to easily socially distance yourself, just stay close enough to hear instructions from your tour guide. Please note that we do not allow visitors to bring dogs onto the premises. Learn more about what to expect and find answers to frequently asked questions: https://www.charliesacres.org/faq.html

Love on Baby Farm Animals
Meet the animals at La Candelaria Ranch in Petaluma! I'd like to share them with people interested in learning about them, interacting with them and showing them love. The 1-hour interactive tour begins with visiting the goats, horses, cows, llamas, and chickens. We'll be walking. You'll also get to meet Jack the mini donkey. I will show you around for 1 hour then you are free to explore for another hour or longer if you'd like. Wear mud boots during the winter. Kids and "adult kids" are welcome. Walking around the ranch, you can connect with a tiny jersey calf named Tati, newborn goats, baby chicks, a mini donkey, and Scottish highland calves. You can see and photograph full size horses, cows, llamas, alpacas, peacocks, and emus. This experience is a great outdoor venue for family get-togethers, kids birthday parties, adult celebrations, off-sites, anniversaries or just to get out of the city for the day. Because we are outdoors and there is a lot of space, we believe this is the perfect venue for all with respect to our ever-changing COVID concerns. Bring a picnic or snacks if you want to stay and hang out.
Sonoma - Winery hop in a vintage VW
We will welcome you in one of our vintage VW Buses! Explore three of the best wineries in Sonoma Valley. We typically visit Hamilton Family Winery, Winery Sixteen 600, and Anaba (this depends on availability and is subject to change without notice). We'll enjoy a picnic lunch at our second stop. *Guests pay for wine tasting at each location, anticipate between $35-45 in tasting fees per person for each winery. Look for our Napa experience too. Please note that we have a 72-hour cancellation policy on all tours. https://www.airbnb.com/experiences/118276?source=p2
Foraging and picnic at flower farm
Guests are welcomed to explore our magical rose farm and forage for fresh cut flowers while enjoying the company of our many free range farm animals. You are also welcome to bring a picnic and blanket during your stay. Your host will greet you upon arrival for a brief orientation of the grounds. After your orientation you will be invited to forage on your own and cut fresh flowers to take home. As you roam our fields and gardens you are sure to meet our lovely farm animals and other wild guests. We have chickens, cotton patch geese, dogs, cats and goats. During your visit you are also welcome to bring your own picnic and blanket. Please do not feed the animals and follow the ‘pack it in, pack it out’ rule of thumb. Guests will leave with a bucket full of flowers and full hearts. We will provide you with a bucket you can take home. Cutting shears and garden gloves are available to borrow. Other things to note Wear appropriate attire: clothes toed shoes, a hat, sunscreen, layers in case it’s hot or chilly. If you are bringing your own garden gloves, leather is best. He who covet the rose must beware the thorn! Great for groups, teams and team building!

The Redwood Forests of Marin & Mt. Tam
We meet in Old Mill Park near downtown Mill Valley, where we start our walking exploration of Marin's magical redwood forest. Following quiet backroads and footpaths, we visit quiet groves of ancient redwood trees and follow spring-fed creeks to natural pools and cascading falls. In this peaceful forest, unique to the northern California and southern Oregon coastal region, the sequoia sempervirens soar hundreds of feet into the sky, providing an unequaled nature experience at base of mighty Mt. Tamalpais. Along the way, you learn about the coastal redwoods' amazing ecology and their clever adaptations for survival over many millions of years. It is a remarkable escape into nature on the slopes of beautiful Mt. Tam. Up to three guests per walk can meet me in Sausalito 45 minutes before the start time, where we will shuttle to Mill Valley's Old Mill Park (by advance arrangement only. Return shuttle to Sausalito included.) Weekend ferry service from SF to Sausalito has resumed. Guests need to catch the 10:40AM Golden Gate ferry from the terminal behind SF's Ferry Building (foot of Market St.) Ferry arrives Sausalito at 11:10AM. If you need another start time, please contact me via Airbnb direct message or e-mail at sanfranciscocoastwalk@gmail.com. This refreshing walk is also ideal for groups and corporate team building outings!
Surf lessons in Marin
We'll meet at a local surf shop to get set up with a board and wetsuit. Then, we'll share surfing fundamentals, safety, and etiquette as well as review wave dynamics, positioning, and proper stand-up technique. With the backdrop of one of the country's most beautiful coastlines, this is a day you won't forget. Wet-suits and board rentals are available where we meet. Other things to note Equipment rental (board / wetsuit) rate is normally $50.00. Rentals are available at the shop where we meet. Great for groups, great for teams and great for team building.

Raising sails in historic Clipper Cove and heading northwest you will enjoy wide open Bay vistas of Angel Island, Alcatraz, Sausalito, Mt. Tamalpais, and the magnificent Golden Gate Bridge. Bake Bread, Create Cheese, Flip Omelets
In this super-charged BRUNCH class, I’ll teach you how to make an easy homemade sourdough bread from scratch without the hassle of a sourdough starter. You will enjoy this bread several ways for brunch alongside other dishes. Besides the bread, we’ll also make fresh ricotta cheese, tartines, and perfect French omelets—made with Petaluma’s famous eggs. The experience will be hands-on and you will learn some valuable cooking skills and tips in this robust class—and at the end of the class you’ll get to take home the loaf of bread you baked, to enjoy later as a delicious souvenir. This is a great class for beginners, or intermediate bakers, as well as for people who want to learn many general cooking tips, and who want to enjoy a delicious 4-course brunch with a complimentary glass of California bubbly. This is not a class for people who want to make sourdough bread with a starter. This IS an experience for someone who is hungry for both knowledge and great food. Based on requests, I started hosting shorter-versions of this experience as well! Please click on my profile photo to check out all the Experiences I host.
