San Francisco Bay Sailing Awesomeness
Get a taste for what an awesome experience living, working and voyaging on a sailboat can be, while viewing fantastic landmarks from the uncrowded deck, using sustainable and eco friendly wind power. Perhaps choose an evening sail, and enjoy a wonderful sunset. We will be outside only, with plenty of space, breathing clean Pacific air! Get a little salty while we sail and chat about what it's like going far from land and crossing oceans, from endless waves and wind, to calm nights under starry skies. Get a feel for what it's like to live and thrive in a constantly moving small space, in a beautiful but unforgiving environment. Hear what it's like to battle Tuna and Sailfish while under sail, and have the freshest sushi minutes later. And to anchor in tropical anchorages, bathe in the sea, and surf uncrowded waves right from the boat. Ask as little or as much as you like about surviving storms, living in foreign countries, meeting great cruising friends, and unplugging from normal living to find another path. Perhaps, ask how you can get started yourself. Spend time aboard a beautiful, ocean-going yacht that has provided a safe and peaceful haven for her crew over the span of two decades in a green, earth friendly fashion.
Bake Bread, Create Cheese, Flip Omelets
In this super-charged BRUNCH class, I’ll teach you how to make an easy homemade sourdough bread from scratch without the hassle of a sourdough starter. You will enjoy this bread several ways for brunch alongside other dishes. Roast Your Own Coffee
If you’ve ever wondered how to roast coffee at home, this coffee class near San Francisco will teach you everything you need to know! In this fun, hands-on workshop you will learn a new skill and roast your own batch of coffee. Enjoy coffee brewed by barista Donna while examining several popular home-roasting methods, some using tools easily found in many homes. This roasting class is great for beginners, and you can ask questions on any aspect of coffee. Sharpen your senses as green coffee beans are placed in an open roaster and you observe first-hand the sights, sounds, and aromas as beans transform from green to brown. Next, your guide will explain how to use a handheld roaster over an open-flame stove. Now you take charge as the coffee maestro by pre-heating your ceramic roaster, adding raw beans, and applying a gentle motion while watching the progress of your roast develop to the level you desire. After introductions we will start with some movement and move into three deep and relaxing guided imagery meditations. This journey will take us into the mysterious territory of our past lives. We will use these sensations along with movement and support to create a painting. We'll experience the act of painting with freedom and become aware of the critic within that holds us back from our full expression.
