The Space
It’s not a Greek Temple, but it’s as close as I could come: my own private temple to sleep in the middle of the city that claims it never sleeps. The night will begin with a Greek dinner with all natural ingredients that will prepare you for sleep -- and with special guests. And after sitting down for a sleep consultation with me, you’ll retire to my bedroom where you’ll find a canopy bed topped with luscious pillows and bedside tables overflowing with flowers, candles, and an old-fashioned analog alarm clock (no digital devices allowed in my bedroom...you can charge your smartphone etc. outside the room), and a little dream notebook with a pen that has a flashlight for you to write your dreams if you wake up in the middle of the night. And before you get into bed, I would highly recommend a hot bath with my favorite Epsom salts in my sunken bathtub (or, if you don't like baths, a long shower to wash the day away).
Lights out can be any time you want, but leave enough time to wake up naturally--after which, you’ll be treated to a special breakfast designed to jumpstart your day and put your great night’s sleep to use. And then -- if you'd like -- you'll have the opportunity to make an appearance on our morning show, HuffPost Rise. We would provide hair and make-up, and you could talk about how your ultimate night of sleep went!
•Recommended: keep the bedroom dark, quiet and cool (between 60 and 67 degrees).
•Bring “going-to-bed clothes,” not to be confused with “going-to-the-gym clothes.” Pajamas, nightdresses and even special t-shirts send a sleep-friendly signal to your body: time to shut down!
•No charging your phone next to the bed! Even better: gently escort all devices completely out of the bedroom.
•Sorry, Mr. Snuffles: No pets on the bed.
•If you want to read in bed, make it a real book or an e-reader that does not emit blue light. And make sure it is not work-related: novels, poetry, philosophy, anything but work.
•Be sure to help yourself to chamomile or lavender tea in the kitchen to ease yourself into sleep mode.
•No sleeping pills.
•No spicy food before bed.

Submissions must be received through the below process by the close of the Contest to be eligible.
Process: To participate in the Contest and to try to win the prize described below, you have to:
Sign in with an Airbnb account
Go to the “Night At Arianna Huffington” listing page https://www.airbnb.com/night-at/arianna-huffington (the “Contest Page”)
Click on the button 'Enter to win' and tell us a little about yourself, where you live and answer the question: “What would you do with your day if you got more sleep at night?” In the form provided, write your story addressing the question above in at least 50 characters but no more than 550 characters.
The Submission must be sent from the email account associated with the participant’s Airbnb account to be verified and reviewed. Each participant can only participate once and you represent that you are more than 21 years old. Airbnb is not responsible for computer or network problems, problems with servers, problems with email accounts or the failure to receive any Submission for any reason whatsoever. By entering the Contest, participants agree, on their behalf and if applicable any guest that as a winner they are permitted to share the prize with (who must be a registered Airbnb user), that they may be contacted by Airbnb in relation to the Contest and agree to take part in any publicity that occurs as a result of the Contest and grant Airbnb, the Huffington Post and their agents the right to use their name and/or image and/or town/country of residence.
Eligibility. The Contest is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and D.C. only, age 21 or older. This means that you are not allowed to participate if you reside outside of these jurisdictions. Directors, officers, employees, independent contractors and agents of Sponsor, AOL, Inc., Arianna Huffington, or their subsidiaries or affiliates (collectively, the “Contest Entities”), and the members of their immediate families or households, are not eligible.
The participants represent that they and their guest are fully able to receive, use and enjoy the prize of this Contest, in view of the above restrictions, and that they do not suffer from any health issue which may make travel to New York City unsuitable for them.
One participant will be selected from the Submissions as winner of the Contest. The winner will be chosen entirely on merit, based on the following criteria applied by a panel of judges:
Originality of the answer. Does it surprise and delight us?
Spirit of the answer. Does it evidence a passion for a life that is enhanced through deeper, more restful sleep?
The panel of judges will be comprised of members of the marketing teams of Airbnb and Huffington Post and/or other authorized personnel or consultants chosen by Airbnb or Huffington Post. If substantially similar Submissions are submitted by different entrants, judges will select only the best version of that idea, as determined by the judges in their sole discretion.
Prohibited Content. Submissions/content must be the original work of the participant and not have been previously published, or entered in any other competition, and must not violate the rights of any other party, including but not limited to intellectual property rights or rights of privacy, publicity or other moral rights. Submissions must NOT contain: (a) advertising or commercial content for any party other than Sponsor; (b) content that endorses/promotes illegal or harmful activity; (c) violent, profane, vulgar, obscene, defamatory or otherwise objectionable material; (d) adult material; or (e) defamatory content. The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any participant who violates these prohibitions or any other provision of these Official Rules, or that the Sponsor deems inappropriate for any reason, in their sole discretion.
License. By submitting a Submission, participants grant Contest Entities a perpetual (or for the term of the protection granted by the relevant intellectual property rights), worldwide, irrevocable, royalty-free license to transform, edit, modify, reproduce, distribute, transmit, publish, broadcast, perform, display, or otherwise use the submitted story, in whole or in part, with or without modifications, in any form or medium (including but not limited to: internet, any printed medium distributed via press, billposting, point of sale advertising, flyers, leaflets…), whether now existing or later developed, for entertainment, promotional and/or advertising purposes and/or any other purpose. To the greatest extent permitted by law, participants agree not to invoke any so-called moral rights in relation to their submissions (including without limitation the right to be identified as the creator of the work and the right to object to derogatory treatment of the work). For the avoidance of doubt, the license referred to in this paragraph is a fully paid-up license. By entering, you guarantee that your entry is original as referred to above, and that you have all necessary rights to provide the entry and to grant to Airbnb the rights set out in these Official Rules, as well as the consent of any person identified, depicted or referred to in the entry. You will indemnify and hold Contest Entities harmless for any breach of these provisions. Only the winner will receive a prize according to the next paragraph: ‘Prize’.
Prize. The winner will receive, in recognition of his/her personal writing talent and as full and comprehensive consideration for the License described above, the following prize for himself/herself and one adult guest:
A one night stay at Arianna Huffington’s home in New York City, which will include a private dinner for 2 and breakfast the next morning. The date of stay shall be by or before July 1, 2016, to be agreed upon by winner and Contest Entities.
Round trip coach air transportation for two from a major airport nearest the winner’s residence to New York City - provided by Airbnb Inc. partner Virgin Airlines
The option to make a guest appearance on the morning show HuffPo RISE to talk about your ultimate night of sleep. Appearance will be solely in the winner’s discretion and is not required to win.
The prize described above does not include: airport transfers from the winner’s home to/from their airport, any meals (except for the dinner and breakfast at Arianna Huffington’s home), and any other expenses. If winner opts to make a guest appearance on the morning show HuffPro RISE, Huffington Post shall cover expenses related to professional hair and make-up as well as transportation to/from Ariana Huffington’s home and Huffington Post (for filming).
Participants represent that they are available to travel to New York City on the date agreed upon by the Parties. Participants must have a valid state ID during the period of the trip to travel to New York City to redeem the prize. The total value of the prize is approximately $3,500 including two round trip tickets to New York City in economy class. The Sponsor is allowed to ask for a written confirmation or proof of the place of residence and age of the winner and any guest they are permitted to share the prize with before awarding the prize. No substitution or transfer of the prize is permitted. The prize may not be redeemed for cash.
Notification/Announcement of Winner.
The winner will be selected on or about May 5th, 2016. Winner will be notified by phone and email via the Airbnb message centre within 24 hours. The winner must confirm their acceptance of the Prize in writing within 12 hours of such notification. The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any winner who does not confirm acceptance of the Prize in accordance with these Official Rules, and reserves the right to select an alternate winner in such event. In the event of a dispute about the identity of a winner, the Sponsor will award the prize to the authorized account holder of the Airbnb account from which the winning entry was sent. The Sponsor may publicly announce the name of the winner within 30 days of the close of the Contest, including through social media channels.
Prize Conditions. Save as may be required by any applicable mandatory laws, the prize is provided as-is with no express or implied warranty or guarantee. This Contest is subject to applicable local laws and regulations, including but not limited to tax laws. The winner is solely responsible for any taxes applicable to or resulting from the award of the prize, and the Sponsor will have no obligation for any taxes that may be payable. Sponsor may require the winner, and where applicable, the winner’s guest, to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility, a liability release and a publicity release permitting the Sponsor to use the name and image of the winner and his/her guest and winning Submission in promotional materials where permitted by law and subject to applicable rules. To the extent permitted by applicable law, refusal or inability to sign and return such forms within 72 hours of receipt may result in disqualification and awarding of prize to an alternate winner. The winner and his/her guest represent they will behave as good citizens during their stay with Arianna Huffington in New York City and that they will cooperate with Contest Entities, as necessary, to make all applicable travel plans and redeem the Prize before July 1, 2016. The winner and his/her guest shall strictly abide by any rules and procedures set forth by Sponsor in connection with the Prize. Engaging in any inappropriate or illegal conduct during any prize-related activity may result in removal from the premises where the event is occurring.
Airbnb may conduct a background check on the winner to confirm eligibility and compliance with these rules, as well as on any proposed travel companion. By entering, you agree to cooperate reasonably with any such background check. Failure to cooperate may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. If a background check reveals that a potential winner or potential travel companion has engaged in conduct that could damage the reputation or business of Contest Entities, the winner and/or guest may be disqualified and, in the case of the winner, the prize may be awarded to an alternate winner, time permitting.
General Liability Release. By entering this Contest, participants release the Contest Entities and their agents from any liability whatsoever, on any theory, and waive all claims and causes of action arising from or related to this Contest and/or fulfillment and/or use of the Prize, to the extent permitted by applicable law. However, nothing in these Official Rules limits or excludes any person’s or entity’s liability for death or personal injury caused by their negligence or any other liability which may not as a matter of law be limited.
Data. By entering the Contest and submitting a Submission and any other personal information, participants are expressly consenting to the processing of their personal information by the Sponsor for the purpose of the Contest or any associated publicity by the Contest Entities. Airbnb’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service will apply. Airbnb may, however, share winner’s information with The Huffington Post and third party prize providers for Contest administration and prize fulfillment purposes.
Interpretation and Disputes. Participants agree to be bound by these Rules and all decisions of the judges, which are final and binding. Any disputes shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, and shall be resolved in the courts of San Francisco, California.
Miscellaneous. The Contest is void where prohibited. If any provision or part-provision of these Official Rules is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, it shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, legal and enforceable. If such modification is not possible, the relevant provision or part-provision shall be deemed deleted. Any modification to or deletion of a provision or part-provision under this clause shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the rest of these Official Rules. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Sponsor may suspend, modify or terminate the Contest if they believe, in their sole discretion, that malfunction, error, disruption or damage is impairing or will impair the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Contest, in which case the prizes will be awarded among the eligible entries received that were unaffected by the problem, if possible.
