Ornos is the nearest beach in Mykonos Town, just 2.5 km away. With fine, golden sand, turquoise crystal clear waters and a wide range of restaurants and bars, Ornos beach is considered one of the most ideal for families. Here you will find many umbrellas and sunbeds for complete relaxation, but also water-sports to fill your day. For adventure lovers, there are diving, water skiing and windsurfing schools on the beach. Ornos beach is accessible by buses that depart regularly from Mykonos Town. Alternatively you can get there in 10 minutes by car.

The whole territory of the deserted Delos is one of the most important archaeological sites of the eastern Mediterranean protected by Unesco as one of the Unesco heritage sites of the world. You may visit, amongst others, the remains of the Temples of Apollo, the sanctuary of Artemis, the old city and the theatre and then, walk down the celebrated Lion Street.

The mythological birthplace of Apollo, it was a major religious center and port during the 1st millennium B.C. The island's ruins encompass Doric temples, markets, an amphitheater, houses with mosaics and the iconic Terrace of the Lions statues. Located in Chora, the Paraportiani Church is the most photographed church in Mykonos and it’s easy to see why. This picturesque church combines beauty and history and it is actually consists of five separate churches attached all together: the four churches (dedicated to Saint Eustathios, Saint Sozon, Saints Anargyroi and Saint Anastasia) are all on the ground and constitute the base of the fifth church that has been built on top of them. Construction began on the church complex in the mid 1400s. Its white walls, typical of the area, contrast beautifully with the stunning Mykonos sky to make a photographer’s dream.

The Church of Panagia Paraportiani is situated in the neighbourhood of Kastro, in Mykonos Town (chora). Its name literally means "Our Lady of the Side Gate" in Greek, as its entrance was found in the side gate of the entrance to the Kastro area. Construction of this church started in 1425 and was not completed until the 17th century.
