Jump on e-bikes to the Florentine hills

First, we'll take some minutes to take confidence with the engine of the e-bikes; you don't need to be particularly fit even if we'll cover hilly roads; the engine makes the effort for you. In a couple of minutes, we'll leave the city center to reach the countryside towards the south area of Florence. Through a nice bike path, we'll get to the most popular panoramic view over the city of Florence: Piazzale Michelangelo. From there, we can admire from the distance all the architectures of the city. With the use of the electric engine, in no time we'll be in the area of Arcetri, where the scenary is totally different: no tourists,olives groves, small vineyards, typical Tuscan countryside. I'll tell you something about our local products such as the Extra Virgin Olive Oil and the wine. Electric bikes, nature, green colors, red poppies and birds cheeping are the context of this ride. After the ride, we'll get back to the city center to taste a wonderful gelato in one of the best spots in town! If you have kids, please contact me!

E-bike tour of Florence and Piazzale Michelangelo

The only way to see in such a short time, North and South of the Arno River, with the breathtaking view from Piazzale Michelangelo. An easy ride through the small alleys of the city centre to reach all the main squares and monuments in Florence, having enough time to talk about the best food, our traditions and tips for your stay in this beautiful town! We'll pass by the Duomo, Santa Croce, Piazza della Signoria, Ponte Vecchio, San Lorenzo, Via Tornabuoni, Palazzo Pitti. After that, through a bike path along the river, and outside the city center, we'll reach the most beautiful view over Florence: Piazzale Michelangelo. After the ride, we'll stop to have a gelato in one of the best spots in town, very close to the bike rental. After all, gelato was also invented during the Renaissance! This activity is a city tour, so all partecipants will ride slowly, in the city, to move through the iconic landmarks of the city with stops for explainations. We have some child seats for kids weighing up to 22kg (50 pounds). Kids can ride an e-bike on their own if taller than 140cm

Tuscany hills on an E-bike with olive oil and fresh bread

See and experience with a local guide the beautiful countryside surrounding Florence, venturing into Tuscany on an E-BIKE, to see some of the most amazing Villas and countryside of the region. You will get the chance to see some great Tuscan landscapes that are just outside Florence while visiting the ancient town of Pian dei Giullari, where Galileo used to live! We'll stop at an exclusive countryside venue and olive oil producer, where we can savour their extra virgin olive oil with freshly baked homemade bread. We will be riding in the countryside for some fantastic views along picturesque countryside roads, to end up in San Miniato al Monte Church, the best viewpoint over Florence. Finally, we will head back to our bike deposit to end the tour, giving you some suggestions on what to do next during your stay in the city! NOTE: On Mondays, the olive orchard is closed so we will have an artisan gelato OR a traditional Italian breakfast at an artisan pastry shop instead! (depends on the openings) As an option and on request, we can extend the tour to 7-hour long and include lunch at a Chianti farm with wine and olive oil tasting, to have both a wine tour and an E-bike experience at the same time! Important: We will share the road with other vehicles so you need to be experienced and fit to ride a bike safely and efficiently, and the minimum height for E-bikes is 150cm!

Half-day e-bike ride through the Tuscan countryside

By e-bike I'll show you the places I love, where I've spent my whole life. In SMALL GROUP MAX ONLY 4 PEOPLE (upon request private tours with more than four participants), you'll discover the Tuscan countryside and Fiesole, the sky above Florence, the nature so close and yet so far from the city, local life away from crowded places. In the morning, in the afternoon, at sunrise or sunset, sometimes at night, we will ride at least 30km (19mi). You will see where Leonardo da Vinci lived and dreamed about human flight, where Dante fell in love with Beatrice. Breathtaking panoramic views of Florence, the hills and countryside surrounded by fields of olive trees. Depending on the season, we will reach a monastery still inhabited by monks at an altitude of over 800m (2600ft), or Michelangelo's childhood home. We will cross the path of the Via degli dei, the ancient Via Flaminia Minor, the Etruscan road that crossed the Apennines mountains at least 200 years BC. During the trip, we'll get some fragrant bread and fresh seasonal vegetables from local farmers, like I usually do with my family. Then we will have a little food break at Giorgio's farm, where we will eat outdoors on the farmyard, tasting his extra virgin olive oil and his good wine: these are always on my kitchen table at home. It won't be a tourist experience, but a little adventure.

Tuscany & Florence countryside biking and tasting at Villa

Want to take a break from the crazy crowds of the city? Join me on this panoramic half-day ride! Starting from the quiet "Oltrarno" area of Florence, we will immerse in the Tuscan countryside with its vineyards, olive groves, and lovely rural roads. I will provide you with 24-speed touring bikes. E-bikes might be available if you ask in advance (limited number!) - please ask for them asap! We will cycle along ancient roads to reach a countryside venue that produces extra virgin olive oil, surrounded by pristine nature. Here we will learn how extra virgin olive oil is produced in Tuscany. Then, we will relax in the gardens to taste local wine and handmade olive oil, paired with a Tuscan appetizer of local products. After the break, we get some more biking and we will stop at San Miniato al Monte Church for the best view of the city. In just half a day, this route is a perfect combination of cycling through Tuscany, seeing Florence from the hilltops, and tasting local produce while experiencing the beauty of the Tuscan countryside. There are some hills to climb (4) on tour (11km/8 miles distance and 140m elevation gain), so get ready for a little workout! (I call it a moderate level, easy if you are used to biking). As an option and on request, we can extend the tour to 7 hours, including lunch at a Chianti farm with wine and olive oil tasting and a visit to the property.
