This tour is a full day tour (8 hours), and we start nearly 8h30 until 17h00. We will pick you up at your hotel / guest house, and then we go in direction to Serra d'Água, where you will get to know the "poios" or culture fields, geography and history of the Island. Head towards the North coast and climb up to Paúl da Serra by the "Ginjas", where you will have an off-road trail and a 15-minute walk on the famous "levadas" water aqueducts. Here in the middle of the Laurissilva forest (UNESCO), we have several native and endemic plants and trees. Continuing our tour, Porto Moniz is the next village that we will meet, and if the weather allows, you can swim in the volcanic pools. On the way to São Vicente where we have a mandatory stop to taste the "poncha", we have other volcanic pools and waterfalls to visit. After this full day trip, we return to your hotel. However, we guarantee to sight at least one dolphin or whale species! If no dolphins and no whales species are sighted during the tour which is extremely rare, the customer will have the possibility of another free tour, or in case of unavailability due to weather conditions, a free trip voucher valid 2 years! The success rate of the trips is 90%. In case swimming is not possible or if we see whales or dolphins we cannot swim with, you will be refunded the difference between the price of the observation trip and the swimming trip.
