Vaugirard

Breakfast is as simple as buying a croissant at the bakery beneath your apartment in this quaint Parisian enclave.

Brightly painted doors and tidy boucheries create a classic Parisian ambiance in Vaugirard. Walking through this everyday neighborhood’s park spaces and stone plazas makes you feel right at home, if home were a centuries-old rustic paradise. Except for its main boulevards that tout bars and brasseries, Vaugirard is quiet, residential, and removed—a perfect combination when you’re looking for a serene respite amidst the clamor of Paris.

The main tourist areas were about 15/20 minutes away which was good as it meant the immediate area wasn't constantly swarming with tourists and left us feeling more at home as temporary Parisians!"

Oui, indeed.

Mornings filled with fresh baguettes and cheeses from [our host] suggested bakeries and grocery stores made our trip even more delightful. Getting to any attraction in Paris was extremely easy from this area."
