A cosy and stylish, dog-friendly cottage, set amid the beautiful fields and woodlands of the Fernhill Estate with easy walking access to the coastal village of Charmouth and only 2 miles to Lyme Regis.
The South West Coastal Path runs opposite our front door. Seasonal access to a heated outdoor pool at the hotel next door.
Our cottage sleeps four and is furnished and equipped to a very high standard with everything you need for a relaxing holiday on the Jurassic Coast in West Dorset.
The space
Our deceptively spacious cottage has been furnished to a very high standard with everything you need for a relaxing break. From DAB radios in the bedrooms, usb sockets in each room, a well equipped kitchen, comfy beds and a cosy wood burner for the colder days. There's a hallway with hooks for your coats and dog lead and space for shoes, this leads to an open plan sitting/dining room and kitchen. We've furnished the space with finds from antique markets, upcycled pieces, a big sofa with scatter cushions and throws and extras including games, books and magazines to help you feel at home. The kitchen has solid oak worktops and as keen cooks we've equipped it with everything you would need to make a snack through to a three course meal. There's a dishwasher and a small freezer too. Downstairs is a double bedroom with a kingsized bed and patio doors out to a relaxing decked garden area. There's a shower room and toilet on the ground floor which has a boutique hotel feel with it's copper basin and gorgeous floor tiles. Upstairs is a large twin room with velux windows looking out to the woods opposite.This floor has it's own bathroom and toilet. We provide fluffy hand towels and large bath sheets for our guests. There's always a basic supply of tea and coffee, sugar plus oil, vinegar, dried herbs and a few spices and some dishwasher tabs in the kitchen. Doggos are very welcome and have their own treats, bowls and blankets.
At the rear of the property there's a sunny decked garden with a table and chairs for you to sit out and enjoy the sun and there's a barbeque too for alfresco dining! It's enclosed on all sides to keep children and four legged friends safe!
The heated outdoor pool is managed by the neighbouring hotel and Daisy Cottage guests are able to book an exclusive 50minute slot to swim for a nominal fee. (Pool access is subject to hotel seasonal opening which is normally May to October)

Guest access
Guests have use of the open air pool at the hotel nearby when it's open (there is a small charge payable directly to the hotel but your 50m swim is exclusive to your family group). There's ample free parking just opposite the cottage (but strategically hidden by hedges so your view isn't spoiled!) and there are bus services nearby to Lyme Regis. The South West Coastal path passes in front of the cottage and there's a lovely woodland walk via the path to Lyme. Alternatively Charmouth is less than a mile away.
Other things to note
We're dog friendly but please get in touch if you have any specific questions about your dog and whether our cottage is suitable for them (particularly if they are still very young and not housetrained) . (Please contact us before booking if you wish to bring an animal other than a dog)
PLEASE NOTE:We allow two dogs maximum per booking, no dogs under 6 months old.
BABIES/INFANTS - we don't supply baby equipment (including stairgates) but you are welcome to bring your own travel cot etc . In some circumstances we can also accommodate an extra child in the upstairs double bedroom . Just ask and we’ll do our best to help!
