Welcome to our home, located within easy riding distance to several of Pisgah National Forest's most popular trailheads. Enjoy amazing biking and hiking trails in the morning and hit the Hub, Ecusta Brewing, or Oscar Blues taproom in the evening, all without getting into your car. After a busy day of recreation, return to this cozy home for some white squirrel sighting and relaxation.

The space
Our location isn’t just ideal for cyclists. We are conveniently located fewer than 3 miles from charming downtown Brevard, home to some great restaurants, art galleries, and fun shop(pe)s. The little town of Hendersonville is just 14 miles away, Flat Rock is 20 miles down the road, and it's a quick 35 minute drive to downtown Asheville.

If waterfalls or hiking are your thing, you’re looking in the right spot . Looking Glass Falls is 4 miles from our home, and the natural water park that is Sliding Rock sits just around its corner. Dupont State Park, filming location for The Hunger Games and Last of the Mohicans, is just a short 10 mile drive from the house. Dupont offers less rugged and technical hiking and biking trails than those in Pisgah. The park is home to over 86 miles of trail and numerous spectacular waterfalls.

After a day of activity, return to our well-appointed bungalow. The house is warm and inviting, think rustic charm meets modern amenities. It's a great entertaining space, with a vaulted living room ceiling, 50" LED Samsung smart TV, all new, high end appliances and finishes, unique artwork and textiles, and carefully considered details designed with our guests’ comfort in mind. Spend some time relaxing or playing games in the light-filled 3+ season glassed patio or cozy back deck. If your bike needs a little love, there's a bike stand and a bike wash for guest use.

The washer and dryer are available for gentle use- please don't wash excessively muddy or sandy clothes without rinsing them out with the outdoor hose beforehand. 1 dedicated parking space. 2 parking spaces available with advanced notice.

This rental is for the entire home. Enjoy the outdoor space...a small back deck and the larger glassed in seating area for entertaining. The open concept kitchen has quartz countertops and the stove is integrated into a bar style peninsula, making it fun to prepare meals while enjoying others' company.

Other things to note
For stays lasting over 5 days, only a starter supply of toilet paper and paper towels will be provided. Cleaning services will not be provided during your stay. If you'd like a mid-stay cleaning, please ask and I'm happy to provide recommendations.

Neighborhood highlights

Our home is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood. Downtown Brevard is just a short drive away. What makes this location so special is its close proximity to the forest. Jump on the city bike trail, located just around the corner from our house, and you're in the forest in under 5 minutes. There are 2 great bike shops within a few minutes ride as well. The Hub's Pisgah Tavern is a great place to wind down with locals in the afternoon, while Sycamore Cycles is home to Crank Coffee, a great spot to start your day. There are also 2 breweries/taprooms within riding or walking distance -Oscar Blues and Ecusta Brewing Company.

Creating a unique and inviting place that guests really enjoy visiting has been a dream of mine for a long time. I am passionate about travel. Most recently, that travel has been primarily from the saddle of a bicycle. While I sleep in a tent a lot of nights, it's always nice to be greeted by friendly faces and a comfortable bed at the end of a long day. I hope to extend the incredible hospitality that I've been fortunate to experience to the people who stay with us, here in beautiful Brevard.
