Guest house Ikkyu is an eco-friendly inn. We store electricity generated by solar panels in storage batteries so that there is no shortage of electricity even at night or on rainy days.
The inn is based on the theme of a "sustainable lifestyle" that minimizes the environmental impact as much as possible.
Relax on the wooden deck, have a BBQ in the garden, or enjoy the starry sky with a drink in your hand... Campfires in the garden are also very popular with children.
Access from the Kumano Kodo is good, and it is ideal for a stopover during your trip. In summer, you can enjoy playing in the water while cooling off in the nearby river.
The inn is accessible by bus. The next morning, we can also arrange a "demand taxi" (reservation required/100 yen per person, one way).
Food catering is also available. Please contact us in advance for dinner, breakfast, lunch boxes, etc.
The space
● Rooms
There are two bedrooms. There is a 6 tatami mat Japanese-style room (with a floor and a closet) and a 6 tatami mat Japanese-style room (1.5 tatami mats of which are flooring). And the living room in the atrium has 9 tatami mats of flooring. When there are many people, you can also sleep on a futon in this living room (up to 8 people).

The kitchen is very spacious and very easy to cook in. When a professional cook came to stay, he said, "This kitchen is very easy to use!"That's what they said.
● Bar counter & low table
A counter chair for 6 seats as a "guest seat", and a sofa on a low table with a wooden taste. It's a very popular space for adults with an atmosphere like a fashionable cafe/bar ☆
● Indoor bath
It is a bath in a nicely renovated space. Hot water boiled in a wood boiler comes out when you turn the faucet. It's comfortable!
● Outdoor bath
An outdoor Goemon bath that is popular with both adults and children. It's boiled with firewood! The staff will help you, so you can enjoy it with peace of mind. * Currently unavailable

● Eco toilet
We have two compost toilets that do not use water or electricity. It doesn't smell strange even though it doesn't flush with water! And the excrement mixes with the soil and turns into fertilizer. In fact, the owner of this inn is also a compost toilet maker, and two of his works are installed.
● Wood deck
From the wooden deck you can see the mountains across the street. It's a great view. Many people drink beer and read on the wooden deck. It's the perfect place to relax.
● Garden in front of the house
The garden is large and comfortable for BBQ. If you tell us in advance, we will prepare a BBQ set with a table and grill. You can enjoy a BBQ if you bring your own ingredients and charcoal. We can also provide a BBQ plan for a fee.

• Due to the characteristics of an old private house in a mountain village, insects in nature may visit. We are taking measures with repellents, etc., but please understand.
● There are few convenience stores and restaurants nearby.
