Very beautiful, typical Périgord farmhouse, ideally located to discover places as varied as Périgueux (28 km), Les Eyzies (20 km), Limeuil (17 km), or the Proumessac cave (17 km). Numerous activities are available within 20 km: kayaking, hiking, markets, a castle tour, a museum, golf, and even an amusement park.
An enclosed garden and a secure swimming pool also provide on-site recreational options.
The space
La Chartreuse is perfect for hosting family reunions or vacations with friends.
The 7 spacious bedrooms and 4 bathrooms can easily accommodate 16 guests.
For your convenience, bed linens and towels will be provided free of charge, and cleaning is included in the rental price.
Numerous outdoor areas will be available to you: a large enclosed garden, a secure swimming pool, and two sheltered areas for eating outside.
It is a house inhabited year-round and that its owner rents with its own furniture, many of which are period; dressers, money-maker and crockery of the 18th and 19th centuries, 18th century armchairs, small furniture such as table, medalist, knitting machine of the same period, paintings and engravings.
It includes on the ground floor:
2 large bedrooms with double bed, a large bathroom (accessible to a person with reduced mobility), 1 large kitchen with dining table, 2 toilets, including 1 in the bathroom (separated by a low wall), 1 large dining room equipped to seat 12 people, 1 large living room, also equipped.
Upstairs in the mansard-style pavilion are:
- 3 large bedrooms with double bed and private bathroom/toilet
- 2 dormitories, one with 4 single beds and the other with 1 double bed plus 1 single bed.
In total, the possibility of sleeping 17 people plus a small child if necessary in one of the three upper bedrooms.
It should be noted that La Chartreuse is rated 3 stars as a furnished tourist property for 15 people.
Amenities and comfort
Its classification itself meets the requirements you expect, so you will find enough in the kitchen furniture, in the crockery and silver maker of the dining room, dishes and cutlery. In addition to the fridge-freezer, oven, microwave, and dishwasher in the kitchen, in the pantry, you will also find a washer-dryer, 2 more fridges, a chest freezer, additional dishes, as well as extra large serving dishes and small kitchenware.
A flat screen TV, several radios or soundbar as well as wi-fi are at your disposal. Finally, it should be noted that a library upstairs contains children's books and a board game trunk for everyone. Finally, the ground floor bedroom overlooking the garden courtyard has a piano.
The exteriors
In the garden yard which is fully enclosed you have access to the pantry as well as the bucket to light the bread oven that can serve as a barbecue. The latter sits at the bottom of a shelter under which is installed a table that comfortably sleeps 6 people.
The large barn adjacent to the house can accommodate 18 people for lunch.
Under this barn is also a ping pong table, an American billiards table, a table football, and a dozen bikes of different sizes. Finally, there are many garden chairs and sunbeds.
This garden leads through a gate to the secure swimming pool, which measures 10 meters by 5 meters, plus the steps, which are outside. A large terrace borders it with garden furniture for aperitifs or snacks. The pool is fully enclosed by walls, grids, or hedges. However, adult supervision of children's swimming remains the best safety. From a gate you have access to the garden that leads to the path that goes around the house as well as the park. A second garden furniture allows you to be shaded in the afternoon when the pool is in the sun.
The park, allows you to indulge in other games, such as ball or badminton, croquet or flying, etc.

Guest access
Apart from the 7 bedrooms, dining room, living room and kitchen and of course the 4 bathrooms described previously; two rooms are not accessible; this is a workshop, as well as the library whose entrance is at the back of the living room reserved for the owner. These two rooms are therefore locked.
The total space offered for rent (excluding the pantry, the bread oven and the barn) is nevertheless close to 300m2 because all the rooms have an area between 18 and 24m2 and the two living rooms 30m2 each.
You will also have exclusive access to the large garden and the swimming pool.

A welcome booklet has been prepared for you that gives all the necessary information for the use of the different machines, rules and instructions, shops and a range of restaurants and cultural and tourist activities. It will be given to you, along with the instructions for use, upon arrival with our welcome gift.
