For years, guests have enjoyed Smithfield Farm as one of Virginia’s memorable historic farm B&B experiences. The same historic farmhouse is now available as a private retreat! Your party of 2 will enjoy the beautiful Randolph Room and have exclusive use of the entire house with the exception of the basement. The other 2 bedrooms will remain unoccupied. Enjoy a 10% discount for a two night or longer stay. We are less than 45 minutes from Dulles Airport.

The space
Smithfield Manor House, completed in 1824 is on the National Register and is a classic example of a Federal Period home. The house is situated in the middle of a 400 acre working farm. Stunning views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the rolling pastures surround you. You can leisurely walk along a Virginia Birding Trail and see cattle, sheep, pigs and a large flock of laying hens. The house has been lovingly restored and provides a unique opportunity to step back in time, yet keep connected with high speed WiFi and good cell service.
Smithfield Farm sits where Virginia’s history, wine country and the wild beauty of the Blue Ridge all meet - most of it less than an hour from our front porch.
There’s so much to see and do in this historic corner of Virginia. Including Berryville and Clarke County, Winchester, VA, Charles Town, WV, Shepherdstown, WV and of course Harpers Ferry National Historic Park all about 40 minutes or less.

Guest access
The entire first and second floors of the house are available for the exclusive use of our guests. For a party of 2, the Randolph Bedroom will be your room and the other two bedrooms will remain unoccupied. Guests are encouraged to walk the grounds, enjoy the gazebo or relax next to Long Marsh Run. The farm store, just steps away is open from 9:00-7:00 and is a great place to pick up some ice cream or a soft drink to enjoy on the shaded porch.
