You know what it takes to run a reliable, high-performance A/V infrastructure in a fast-paced, highly visual environment as a member of a collaborative team. You understand from the ground up how modern A/V systems are design and work, but are also hands-on capable to manage and support daily operations. You know what it means to be a good host, anticipating needs and providing white glove service to everyone in the organization. Well then, we should talk. The IT team at Airbnb is looking for someone like you.

Responsibilities

  • Take a leadership role in providing a delightful and reliable user experience to all Airbnb employees across 15+ offices around the world for video and audio conferencing services, room-based A/V systems and equipment, and for company events.
  • Work closely with the ICTS, Enterprise Systems, and Real Estate and Facilities teams to design, manage, and support A/V services and systems globally.
  • Collaborate with the Airbnb Ground Control team to produce regular all-hands broadcast events.
  • Ensure the availability and smooth operation of all systems on a daily basis by performing regular system checks, monitoring, maintenance and repairs to systems and infrastructure.
  • Work with vendor partners around the world to install systems, fix problems, and support users.
  • Provide Executive and personal support for groups to enable frictionless meetings using A/V systems.
  • Create and deliver user training materials and services.

Requirements

  • Positive, service-oriented personality, and the ability to keep working and smiling when things are going wrong.
  • 5+ years of A/V related hands-on work as part of a modern organization, as an individual contributor or integrator, ideally in a startup or fast growing company environment.
  • Battle-proven, real-life experience with a diverse set of A/V technologies, systems, vendors and integrators in various use cases and environments.
  • Familiarity with Crestron (automation, media handling etc.), Extron, BlackMagic Design, Shure, Polycom, Clearone, Vidyo, Vaddio, DSPs, PTZ cameras, Dante, Airplay, HDCP, SDI etc.
  • Basic networking skills for trouble-shooting and testing.
  • Ability to operate software-based and physical audio and video mixers as well as broadcasting systems.
  • Ability to read technical diagrams, compare installed to planned, check against parts lists, verify quotes and invoices.
  • Willingness to work when services are needed and to travel when necessary.
  • Ability to move and manage physical A/V gear.
