The Graphic Design team at Airbnb is a small group of designers that stewards the visual brand and focuses on creating meaningful offline experiences for Airbnb's hosts, guests, and employees around the world. We are connected to every department at Airbnb and partner with these teams to develop concrete, creative solutions to sometimes vague or ambiguous problems.
We believe that our work can foster memorable interactions between the Airbnb community and our brand, and we are seeking a talented designer to advance our visual brand in Asian markets. This position requires extensive experience working on international brands, and candidates should be comfortable digesting qualitative research and translating it into strategic and inspiring design solutions. Our ideal candidate has a stunning portfolio of varied work with demonstrated success building visual brands, particularly lifestyle brands.
Candidates must possess an astute awareness of communication design criteria and trends in Asian markets. This includes fluency of at least one of the following languages: Standard Chinese, Japanese, or Korean. The designer in this position will be asked to develop a common understanding of Asian design sensibilities amongst the larger design team.
We're thinkers, doers, and communicators. Candidates must be self–motivated, eager to learn, and determined to produce in a fast–paced environment. You should be a team player and should feel comfortable leading designers through a well-constructed process while being able to effectively communicate with non-designers. We will consider candidates whose portfolios demonstrate creativity, a passion for craft, and a meticulous approach.
