What if my credit card expires before my reservation?
Your payment method is processed in full the moment a host accepts your reservation request. We then hold on to your payment until 24 hours after you check in before releasing it to your host. This gives you time to arrive at the listing and make sure that everything is as expected.
When paying by credit card, as long as the charge was successful, there is nothing else you need to do. It's as if you went to the store and purchased a pair of shoes -- it doesn't matter if your credit card expires after having purchased them.
