What does each message status mean?
Your Airbnb messages can be found in your inbox. Each message in your inbox has a different status:
Inquiry - A guest contacted a host about certain dates but has not submitted a reservation request.
Action Required - For certain situations, a guest is required to have Verified ID before their reservation request can be sent to the host. The request is put on hold until the verifications are complete.
Pending - A guest submitted a reservation request to a host, but it has not yet been accepted, declined, or expired within the allotted time frame.
Accepted - You have an accepted reservation with a host or guest. Now plan the check-in details.
Declined - A guest submitted a reservation request that was declined by a host. The guest is free to book with another host, as no payment was charged.
Expired - A guest submitted a reservation request to a host, but the host did not accept or decline the request within the allotted time frame. When a reservation request expires, the guest is free to book with another host, as no payment was charged.
Canceled - You have a canceled reservation with a host or guest. This may also mean a canceled reservation request that was retracted before it was accepted or declined.
Closed - A guest inquired about certain dates but is no longer looking for accommodations.
Not Possible - A guest contacted a host about certain dates, and the host responded by extending a Special Offer or pre-approval to the guest. However, the dates are no longer available on the host's calendar (possibly because the host received a new request for those dates).
