The Experiences Guest Referral Program (the “Program”) enables individuals (“Referring Members”) to share links to Airbnb Experiences with other individuals ("Referred Members”) and earn rewards. Referred Members who book their first Airbnb Experience will receive a coupon, and the Referring Member will receive a reward after the Referred Member completes their booking.
See below for the full terms and conditions related to the Program as well as the terms and conditions for coupons available to Referred Members, both of which apply to the Program (the “Terms”). Please note that the Airbnb Terms of Service, including but not limited to the Payment Terms of Service, apply in full to the Program.
This Program permits eligible Referring Members to earn money when they send referral links of Airbnb Experiences that are clicked on, booked, and completed by Referred Members. Referral links are links that are found on the “share” button of an Airbnb Experiences listing page (“Referral Link”). When sharing the Referral Link, Referring Members are expected to inform Referred Members that they may receive a reward if a Referred Member clicks the Referral Link and books and completes their first Airbnb Experience.
Referring Members can earn $15 USD (or local equivalent) for each Referred Member who clicks on the Referring Member’s Referral Link, and within 30 days of clicking on the link, books an Airbnb Experience that is at least $50 USD (or local equivalent) in value (the “Reward”). For the Referring Member to earn a Reward, the Referred Member must be a first-time Airbnb Experience booker. There is no limit as to how many Referred Members a Referring Member may earn Rewards on. Once a Referred Member has booked and completed their first Airbnb Experience, no other Referring Members can earn rewards for subsequent Experiences booked by that same Referred Member. Referring Members will earn one Reward for each new Experience reservation booked under this Program, regardless of the number of guests added to a booking reservation. Rewards will be reflected in the Referring Member’s’s account at least 7 days after the Referred Member completes their first Airbnb Experience booking.
For a Referring Member to be eligible for a Reward, and for a Referred Member booking an Airbnb Experience for the first time under this Program to receive a coupon, a Referring Member must share their Referral Link. If a Referred Member clicks on Referral Links from multiple Referring Members, the Referring Member’s Referral Link that was first clicked on by the Referred Member will be the one that would earn a Reward (if the Referred Member books and completes an Airbnb Experience booking). Referring Members may not earn Rewards by clicking on and booking via their own Referral Link. If a Referring Member hosts an Airbnb Experience, that Referring Member may not earn Rewards when Referred Members book the Referring Member’s Experience.
By participating in the Program, Referring Members agree to these Terms. Referring Members are responsible for any taxes due on the Reward payments. Airbnb can change the Reward amount at any time, provided that such change will not apply to any Referral Links that were sent and clicked on by the Referred Member prior to the change. If a Referring Member is based outside the United States, the Referring Members will receive the equivalent in the Referring Members’s local currency (i.e., the currency of the Payout Method that Referring Members has selected for payouts). Whether a payout is due shall be a decision made in the sole discretion of Airbnb (acting reasonably in the circumstances), and solely based upon Airbnb’s records. Airbnb reserves the right to any remedy, including denial of payout and cancellation of Member’s Airbnb account, if fraud, tampering, wrongful conduct, Program abuse, or other violations of Airbnb's Terms of Service or these Terms are suspected.
Referring Members’ participation in the Program does not, under any circumstances, create an employment, agency, partnership, or other service relationship between the Member and Airbnb. Members may not hold themselves out as, or give any person reason to believe, that they are an employee, intermediary, agent, partner, or representative of Airbnb. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Airbnb will not carry any liability or other insurance on behalf of Member, or in Member’s favor, based on their participation in this Program. The Program is subject to change or withdrawal at Airbnb’s sole discretion at any time. For Members in Australia, any modification to these Terms will be in accordance with Section 13 of the Airbnb Terms of Service.
These Experiences Guest Referral Program – Referred Member Coupon Terms supplement the Airbnb Coupon Terms. The Airbnb Coupon Terms apply in full to this Program.
Referred Members may receive a coupon if they click a Referral Link shared with them by a Referring Member. Referred Members receive one coupon in the amount of $25 USD (or local equivalent) by clicking on the Referral Link that has been sent by the Referring Member under this Program. The Referred Member can only receive a coupon if they have never booked an Airbnb Experience before.
After clicking the Referral Link, the coupon will automatically appear in the Referred Member’s account only if the Referred Member is logged into Airbnb when they click on the Referral Link. If a Referred Member is not logged into Airbnb or they are not an Airbnb Member, the coupon will not be applied to the Member’s account, and they must click on a new Referral Link (after logging into their Airbnb account) to receive a coupon under this Program. The coupon may only be applied to an Airbnb Experience booking that is at least $50 USD (or local equivalent) in value. The Referred Member must book an Airbnb Experience within 30 days of first clicking on a Referral Link for the coupon to apply. If the Referred Member does not book an Airbnb Experience within 30 days, the coupon under this Program will no longer be eligible for use. The reservation for the referral booking must begin within 12 months of the Referred Member clicking on the Referral Link. If the reservation does not begin within 12 months of the Referred Member clicking on the Referral Link, the coupon will no longer be eligible for use. Referred Members are only eligible to receive one coupon under this Program. If that coupon is not redeemed, the Referred Member cannot receive another coupon under this Program. If a Referred Member has an existing, eligible coupon under this Program and clicks on a subsequent Referral Link, the expiration date for the coupon will not restart and will still be calculated from the date the Referred Member clicked on the first Referral Link.
By clicking on a Referral Link, Referred Members acknowledge and agree that their name, Airbnb profile photograph, the information about the Experience they have booked, and whether they have made a booking, will be shared with the Referring Member.
Coupons under this Program will be automatically applied to the Referred Member’s next Airbnb Experience booking (valued at at least $50 USD (or local equivalent)) at checkout. If the Referred Member has multiple coupons in their account, then the coupon with the higher value will be applied to their next Airbnb Experience booking, and if that coupon is not the one acquired under this Program, then the same logic will apply to the Referred Member’s next booking until the coupon under this Program is redeemed or expires, whichever comes first.
Please Note: Referred Members may only redeem one coupon under this Program. Once a Referred Member has redeemed a coupon under this Program, clicking on subsequent Referral Links will not generate a new coupon, even if the associated message says the Referred Member will receive a discount or coupon.
