Searching and booking hotels

Finding a wonderful hotel on Airbnb has never been easier.

How to search for hotels

To narrow down your options to a collection of featured hotels, try using the hotel filter. You can get even more specific by searching for must-have amenities, like a pool or free parking.

Check out the Recommended for you section—you’ll find personalized hotel ideas based on what you’ve been searching for.

How to choose your room

Found a hotel you like? Here’s how to pick your room:

  1. Click or tap the hotel listing to explore more details
  2. Go to Choose rooms
  3. Browse the available rooms with photos, descriptions, prices, and more
  4. Select the room type that works best for you
  5. Check your room selection in the price breakdown before completing your booking

Managing your hotel reservation

Need to make changes to your hotel reservation, such as choosing different dates or a different room type? If you’re within the free cancellation window of your hotel reservation, you can cancel and rebook. If you’re outside of the free cancellation period, changes may not be possible, but you can call the hotel directly or contact us.

Hotel price match guarantee

If you find a lower advertised price for your booked hotel room within 24 hours of completing your booking, you can submit a Price Match Guarantee claim. If validated, we’ll issue an Airbnb credit to make up for the price difference, up to $400 USD (or the local currency equivalent) per booking. Only bookings at Airbnb hotel listings that show a Price Match Guarantee at checkout are eligible for the Price Match Guarantee Program.

What to expect when you check in to your hotel

When you arrive at your hotel, check-in works just like it would if you had booked at any other website. You’ll be asked for:

  • Identification: Hotels will ask you to present a valid photo ID for identity verification.
  • A credit card deposit: Your hotel may ask you for a credit card deposit to cover a security deposit or the cost of any incidentals during your stay. The deposit, minus any charges, is usually released upon checkout.

If you have immediate questions, concerns, or need assistance, the best way to get a prompt resolution is to call the hotel directly—they are often available 24/7.
