Price Match Guarantee Program Terms and Conditions

If you have completed a booking on Airbnb for a hotel that is participating in the Price Match Guarantee Program and you find a lower price for the same stay on another app or website (other than Airbnb or HotelTonight) within 24 hours of completing your booking, you may be eligible to receive an Airbnb Credit equal to the difference between the room rate in your original Airbnb hotel booking and the lower room rate you found afterwards (up to a maximum of $400 USD or equivalent in local currency). The value of any Airbnb Credit issued under the Price Match Guarantee Program will be calculated based on the difference in the two room rates, excluding all taxes and fees.

Eligibility for the Price Match Guarantee

Only bookings at Airbnb hotel listings that show a “Price Match Guarantee” at checkout are eligible for the Price Match Guarantee Program. To receive Airbnb Credit under this program, you must submit your request within 24 hours of booking and satisfy the following conditions:

• The lower rate you found must be for the same property, the same date(s), the same room type, and the same number of occupants as the room that you booked on Airbnb.
• The lower rate must not be tied to a stricter cancellation policy than your booking on Airbnb.
• The lower rate you found must be more than just a difference in taxes or fees. As noted above, the value of any Airbnb Credit received in the Price Match Guarantee Program will be calculated based on the difference in the two room rates (excluding all taxes and fees).
• The lower rate must be available to the general public. Special group rates such as AARP rates, AAA rates, military rates, corporate rates, etc., do not apply. Rates offered through loyalty or rewards programs, through contests, or as part of a travel package are not eligible.
• If you find a lower rate on an app or website that doesn’t provide the name of the hotel until after you complete the booking or where you are able to name your own price, those rates are not eligible for this program.
• The lower rate cannot be from Airbnb or its affiliate, HotelTonight.

To submit a claim

1. Take a screenshot of the lower rate you’ve found. Make sure that the screenshot includes the dates of the stay, property name, website/app name, rate details, room type, occupancy, cancellation policy, and any other relevant information related to the conditions of the Price Match Guarantee Program.
2. Submit your claim by contacting us within 24 hours of making your booking on Airbnb.
3. In your message, include the hotel name, where you found the lower price (including a complete URL if you found the lower price on a website), a copy of the screenshot, and any other relevant information.

Limitations to the Price Match Guarantee Program

• Airbnb Credit is subject to Airbnb’s Credit Terms and is redeemable for eligible stays, experiences, or services on Airbnb (availability can vary by region). The Airbnb Credit will expire one (1) year after the date of issuance.
• Airbnb will make the sole determination regarding a customer's eligibility to receive Airbnb Credit under the Price Match Guarantee Program in its reasonable discretion. We reserve the right to deny claims that are suspicious and/or appear to be fraudulent.
• To the extent permitted by law, the Price Match Guarantee Program does not apply in the event of disasters, acts of terrorism or other abnormal or unforeseeable events outside of Airbnb’s reasonable control.
• The maximum amount of any Airbnb Credit that can be issued under the Price Match Guarantee Program is $400 (USD) or the equivalent in local currency.
• Any Airbnb Credit issued will be voided if the Airbnb booking is cancelled by the user prior to check-in or if the credit card charge associated with the booking is disputed.

Modification to these terms and conditions

Airbnb reserves the right to change these terms or terminate the Price Match Guarantee Program at any time, with such changes applying to future bookings only.
