Referral Reward is available to Airbnb members that refer a new host with an experience, service, or home listing in an eligible location listed here.
To be eligible, new hosts must:
Listings that are ineligible include 1) private, shared, and hotel room listings and 2) homes, experiences, and services that have been deactivated and republished. API-connected listings are ineligible unless otherwise specified. Reward amounts are in a range determined at the time the Referred Host creates their listing using the referral link and will remain valid for the duration of the period outlined on the referral pages. Amounts vary by listing location and the Referred Host’s listing type (including the number of bedrooms for home listings). Payout in USD or equivalent in local currency will be made within 30 days of completion of the Referred Host’s Qualifying Booking. Upon expiration of the period outlined on the referral pages, the offer shall immediately expire.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE AIRBNB TERMS OF SERVICE, PAYMENTS TERMS OF SERVICE, AND PRIVACY POLICY YOU AGREED TO APPLY TO YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE HOST REFERRAL PROGRAM AND YOUR USE OF THE HOST REFERRAL DASHBOARD AND OTHER TOOLS AND WEBSITES PROVIDED BY AIRBNB. THESE PROGRAM TERMS AND CONDITIONS (“TERMS”) SUPPLEMENT THE AIRBNB TERMS OF SERVICE AND PRIVACY POLICY. PLEASE CONSULT THE AIRBNB TERMS OF SERVICE AND PRIVACY POLICY BEFORE AGREEING TO THESE ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
IF YOU RESIDE IN, OR THE ORGANIZATION YOU ARE ACTING FOR IS ESTABLISHED IN, THE UNITED STATES, PLEASE NOTE: THE ARBITRATION CLAUSE AND CLASS ACTION WAIVER CONTAINED IN THE AIRBNB TERMS OF SERVICE APPLY TO ANY DISPUTE RELATING TO THESE ADDITIONAL TERMS.
IF YOUR COUNTRY OF RESIDENCE OR ESTABLISHMENT IS AUSTRALIA, SECTIONS 4, 6, 8, 12 and 14 OF THESE TERMS DO NOT APPLY TO YOU AND ARE REPLACED WITH SECTIONS 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19 OF THESE TERMS RESPECTIVELY.
The Airbnb Host Referral Program (“Program”) allows members to earn money (check Payment section below) by referring new hosts who publish a listing for the first time on the Airbnb Platform (“Referred Hosts”) and successfully complete a Qualifying Booking.
Referring Members can only receive a Referral Reward payment for the first 25 Referred Home Hosts, the first 25 Referred Experience Hosts, and the first 25 Referred Service Hosts (i.e., the first 25 hosts they referred under this Referral Program) who complete their first Qualifying Booking in line with these Terms. Airbnb may offer other programs, products, or features that allow certain Referring Members to receive additional reward payments, as detailed in those other program pages, products, or features.
All Referred Hosts must be new, first time hosts. No payment will be made for listings created by current or former Airbnb hosts, or for bookings made by family or friends of the Referred Host, or for bookings where either the Referred Host or the Referred Host's listing has the same address as you.
Your participation in the Program is subject to these Terms. Any payments under this Program may not be combined with other Airbnb referral programs or incentives for the same Referred Host. By participating in the Program, you forfeit your ability to earn rewards or incentives via other Airbnb referral programs for Referred Hosts.
You may not use the Host Referral Dashboard (“Dashboard”) for any purpose other than tracking the progress of your Referred Hosts. You will respect the privacy of others and comply with applicable laws.
You may only use this Program in good faith and in compliance with applicable laws. You may not represent yourself as an employee, intermediary, agent, partner, or representative, or as being authorized to bind Airbnb. You may not create materials (including business cards, websites or email addresses) bearing Airbnb branding or that imply any affiliation or agency relationship between you and Airbnb. However, you must clearly state that you are a Referring Member who is encouraging hosts to list on Airbnb. You will not receive payment for referring yourself.
Referrals should only be used for personal and non-commercial purposes, and only shared with personal connections that will appreciate receiving these invitations.
You may only use referral methods and techniques that people will appreciate and that are legal. You may only contact people who have given you their consent to be contacted, and you should not publish or distribute referral links to the general public on commercial websites or on social media platforms. Members are prohibited from “spamming” anyone with referral invitations. This includes mass emailing, texting or messaging people you do not know or using automated systems or bots through any channel to distribute your referral link. Members are prohibited from paying to advertise their referral links. You should not solicit potential hosts who live in buildings where short-term rentals are prohibited by law, such as government-sponsored housing. You must always be mindful to respect the privacy of others, be honest, open, and transparent about who you are and what you are offering (i.e. do not mislead). Make sure to tell your friends and others who you invite to join Airbnb to check the laws that may apply to them and that you educate them about what it takes to be a responsible host. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, you will receive the amount specified in the Dashboard after the Referred Host completes their Qualifying Booking (the “Referral Reward”). Airbnb can change the Referral Reward amount at any time. The Referral Reward you receive will be in a range determined at the time the Referred Host creates their listing after following the referral link.
If you are based outside the US, you will receive the equivalent in your local currency (i.e., the currency of the Payout Method that you have selected for payouts).
Where applicable, the local currency equivalent will be calculated based on a currency conversion rate determined by us, which may not be identical to the real-time market rate.
Payouts will be made within 30 days of completion of each Qualifying Booking, to the Payout Method you designate on your Airbnb account. All payments hereunder shall be subject to the Payments Terms of Service (the “Payments Terms”). All provisions of the Payments Terms, including but not limited to Sections 3 and 5 of the Payments Terms, that apply to hosts, also apply to you. The Airbnb Terms of Service as they relate to the application of taxes apply to any Referral Reward payment.
Whether a payout is due shall be a decision made in the sole discretion of Airbnb, and solely based upon Airbnb’s records. Airbnb reserves the right to any remedy, including denial of payout or cancellation of your account, if fraud, tampering, wrongful conduct, or other violations of Airbnb's Terms of Service or these Terms are suspected.
By creating your listing via your referrer’s referral link, you understand that information about your listing will be shared with your referrer, such as whether you have started or published your listing, completed listing verification, and booked or hosted your first reservation. They can also check whether your first booking is eligible for a reward.
If you don’t want to share this information with the person who referred you, you can create your home listing here, your experience listing here, and your service listing here instead.
A Qualifying Booking is a booking that: (i) is accepted by the Referred Host and paid for by the Guest, (ii) is not cancelled by either the Guest or the Referred Host at any time before or after the scheduled check-in for such booking, (iii) meets the minimum total value indicated in the Offer Terms, accompanying promotional materials, Airbnb website, or Airbnb mobile application for the type of booking referenced in the Offer Terms, and (iv) meets all other eligibility requirements listed in the Offer Terms. For homes, the minimum total value includes pet fees and extra guest fees, and is calculated before taxes or other fees (including Airbnb fees). For experiences and services bookings, the minimum total value is the booking amount before taxes and fees (including Airbnb fees). At expiration, Airbnb reserves the right to adjust the minimum total value requirement for subsequent offers at its sole discretion, which may vary by jurisdiction and currency. Note that this total value may change based on currency fluctuations. The Qualifying Booking must be booked and paid for via the Airbnb platform, and the Referred Host must complete the stay, experience, or service before the Referring Member can receive a Referral Reward payment. If the Referring Member is the host or guest, or if the reservation is cancelled at any time, the reservation will not be considered a Qualifying Booking, and therefore no Referral Reward payment will be earned.
A Referred Host may only use one referral link. If a Referred Host receives referral links from multiple Members, only the Member associated with the first referral link actually used by the Referred Host to create their listing will be eligible to receive a Referral Reward payment
From time to time, Airbnb may publicize additional incentives and programs applicable to particular locations and listing types. Such announcements will include specific information regarding the requirements for receiving such incentives in that location. Airbnb reserves the right to modify or withdraw these incentives at any time.
Airbnb cannot and does not offer tax-related advice to you.
You are solely responsible for determining and fulfilling your obligations under applicable laws to report, collect, remit or include any applicable taxes, including, but not limited to, income, sales and use, VAT, and GST (“Taxes"), as well as your applicable tax reporting requirements on the payouts earned from the Program.
In certain jurisdictions, tax regulations may require that we collect and report tax information about you, or withhold taxes from payouts to you, or both. In the cases where Airbnb has a withholding obligation, Airbnb will withhold and remit the applicable taxes to the relevant tax authorities. If you fail to provide us with documentation that we determine to be sufficient to report tax information or to withhold taxes from payouts to you, we may hold payouts up to the amount as required by law, until sufficient documentation is provided.
Where applicable, or based upon request, you should issue a valid VAT invoice to Airbnb.
You agree that Airbnb may issue invoices or similar documentation for VAT, GST, consumption or other taxes for your payouts on your behalf to facilitate accurate tax reporting if available in your jurisdiction and offered by Airbnb.
Your participation in the Program does not, under any circumstances, create an employment, agency, partnership, or other service relationship between you and Airbnb. You will not hold yourself out as, or give any person reason to believe, that you are an employee, intermediary, agent, partner, or representative of Airbnb. Airbnb will not carry any liability or other insurance on behalf of you, or in your favor, based on your participation in this Program. Referring hosts and referred hosts acknowledge and agree that Airbnb is not acting as a real estate broker for either party.
You represent and warrant that: (a) you meet all eligibility criteria and possess all necessary consents and permits to participate in this Program; (b) you have no pre-existing obligations or commitments (and will not assume or otherwise undertake any obligations or commitments) that would be in conflict or inconsistent with or that would hinder your performance of your obligations under these Terms; and (c) you will fully comply at all times with all applicable laws and you will not infringe on any third-party rights (including Airbnb).
Airbnb may terminate your participation in the Program at any time, for any reason or no reason. The rights and obligations of the parties under these Terms will survive the expiration or termination of these Terms.
If any provision in these Terms are held to be invalid, void, or unenforceable, such provision (or the part of it that is making it invalid, void or unenforceable) will be struck and not affect the validity of and enforceability of the remaining provisions, to the extent permissible under applicable law.
Airbnb reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify the Program at any time by updating this page, the Airbnb website, Referrals Dashboard, or other product pages. Continuing to access the Dashboard or share your referral link with Referred Hosts will constitute acceptance of the revised Terms. If the modified Terms are not acceptable to you, your only recourse is to cease using the Dashboard and stop your Program participation.

Airbnb may change Reward offers and the corresponding Referral Reward amounts, after offers expire.
If you are based outside the US, you will receive the equivalent Referral Reward in your local currency (i.e., the currency of the Payout Method that you have selected for payouts). In circumstances where the reward amounts were communicated to you in USD, the local currency equivalent will be calculated based on a currency conversion rate determined by us.

All payments hereunder shall be subject to the Payments Terms of Service (the “Payments Terms”). All provisions of the Payments Terms, including but not limited to Sections 3 and 5 of the Payments Terms, that apply to hosts, also apply to you. The Airbnb Terms of Service as they relate to the application of taxes apply to any Referral Reward payment.
Whether the criteria for a payout has been met shall be a decision made in the sole discretion of Airbnb, acting reasonably in the circumstances. Airbnb reserves the right to any remedy, including denial of payout or cancellation of your account, if fraud, tampering, wrongful conduct, or other violations of Airbnb's Terms of Service or these Terms are suspected.

At expiration of an offer, Airbnb reserves the right to adjust the minimum total value requirement for any subsequent or updated offers, which may vary by jurisdiction and currency. Note that this total value may change based on currency fluctuations. The Qualifying Booking must be booked and paid for via the Airbnb platform, and the Referred Host must complete the stay, experience, or service before the Referring Member can receive a Referral Reward payment. If the Referring Member is the host or guest, or if the reservation is cancelled at any time, the reservation will not be considered a Qualifying Booking, and therefore no Referral Reward payment will be earned.

Such announcements will include specific information regarding the requirements for receiving such incentives in that location. Any additional incentive or program will be valid for the duration of the offer provided in the incentive or program and following expiry, Airbnb reserves the right to modify or withdraw these incentives.
You may terminate your participation in the Program at any time and for any reason by ceasing your participation in the Program. Airbnb may terminate your participation in the Program for any reason upon expiration of an offer, where no other offers are currently on foot. Airbnb may also terminate your participation in the Program immediately and without prior notice if (i) you materially breach these Terms, (ii) you violate applicable laws, or (iii) such action is necessary to protect the personal safety or property of Airbnb, its Members, or third parties (for example in the case of fraudulent behavior of a Member). The rights and obligations of the parties under these Terms will survive the expiration or termination of these Terms.
Airbnb may modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes to these Terms, we will post the revised Terms on the Airbnb Platform and update the “Last Updated” date at the top of these Terms. If modifications occur during the period outlined in the offer referral link, we will also provide you with notice of any material changes by email, notifications through the Airbnb Platform, messaging service, or any other contact method made available by us and selected by you at least 30 days before the date they become effective. If you disagree with the revised Terms, you may terminate this agreement immediately as provided in these Terms. If you do not terminate your agreement before the date the revised Terms become effective, your continued participation in the Program will constitute acceptance of the revised Terms.
