Remove a review from a host or guest

While you can’t remove a review you wrote or received on your own, you can ask us for help.

Note: For services and experiences, only guests can leave a review.

Remove a review you received

If a host or guest left you a review and it doesn't follow our Reviews Policy, you can ask us to remove it.

Who can ask to have a review removed

A review written about you or or listing will only be displayed on your profile or listing if you are:

  • The listing owner
  • A full access co-host of a home or service
  • A broad permissions pro-host, or member of the hosting team in managed accounts or pro-host accounts
  • A team owner
  • Part of “team guest management”
  • The guest who booked the reservation

If you try to make a review removal request and can't, you or another eligible person may have already made a request that is still open.

To remove a review you received

Submit a review removal request on desktop

  1. Click Get started
  2. Select the review you want removed
  3. Select the reason you want the review removed
  4. Provide details about why you want the review removed
  5. Upload any supporting documentation
  6. Click Submit

Tip: When searching for a review to remove, use words included in the review. Searching for the reviewer’s name or other details may not work.

What happens next

We’ll email you a decision, usually within 48 hours. If the review complies with our Reviews Policy, it will stay on the Airbnb platform. If it doesn’t comply, we’ll remove it and notify the reviewer by email, explaining why. They’ll also have the option to contact us if they believe there’s been a mistake. If they provide new information that changes our decision, we’ll update you.
