What happens if I let a reservation request expire?

To respond to a reservation request, Accept or Decline it before it expires in the allotted 24 hours. You can also send a message to the guest to learn more about their plans, before accepting or declining the request.

If you can accommodate a reservation request that has expired, you will need to ask the guest to send a new request, or send the guest a Special Offer or pre-approval.

If you aren't able to respond within 24 hours, your response rate will be impacted, so it’s always better to decline a reservation request, instead of allowing it to expire. This will help maintain your response rate, and it will help guests as they make their travel plans. Keep in mind, if you frequently decline reservation requests, your acceptance rate may go down.
