How much time do I have to respond to a reservation request?
You have 24 hours to respond to a reservation request before it expires, by clicking the Accept or Decline button. Guests appreciate a prompt response, even if you cannot host them.
Feel free to review trip details with a guest by exchanging messages before you respond to their reservation request. However, clicking the Discuss button to continue exchanging messages is not a sufficient response to the request. If you do not accept or decline a request within the allotted time, it will expire and your placement in search results may be negatively impacted. Expired requests cannot be reactivated.
To read a request, click on it in the Pending Requests and Inquiries section of your dashboard. Keep in mind that the dates included in a pending reservation request will be blocked on your calendar, so other guests won't be able to request them.
