Why are the Airbnb Experiences I’m hosting canceled?
On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the outbreak of COVID-19 to be a global pandemic. Based on the guidance of governments and public health experts regarding social distancing, Airbnb Experiences were paused on March 18, 2020, and the pause will continue through at least September 10, 2020 for many countries in order to protect the health and safety of our community.
We believe that taking this action in the short-term is necessary to do our part to slow the spread of the virus, and in the long-term preserve experiences as a trusted way to connect with others throughout the world.
What happens to reservations
If you had a reservation between March 18 and September 10, 2020, the reservation has been automatically canceled. Your guests have received a full refund, including a refund of all Airbnb service fees. Guests who made a reservation will receive a $25 coupon to join a future experience.
Booking experiences after September 10
Guests can book any available instance on your calendar after September 10, 2020. Airbnb will continue to monitor the situation globally, and will update our community if the situation changes.
