How does the calendar and messaging work for co-hosts or assistants on an Airbnb Experience?
Whether you’re a co-host or an assistant, a primary host can grant you permission to respond to inquiries, message booked guests, and browse the calendar.
Responding to inquiries
Whether you lead guests as a co-host or manage the experience as an assistant, you’ll be able to respond to inquiries if the primary host gave you this permission. You’ll receive new inquiries and will be added to recent messages so that you can follow up with guests. These inquiries will be sent to your inbox on Airbnb, and you can respond to guests the same way.
To make sure guests aren’t interacting with too many team members, only 3 team members can be granted permission to respond to guests’ inquiries per experience. Your title (co-host or assistant) will be displayed next to your name so guests know who you are.
Messaging booked guests
If the primary host has given you permission to message booked guests, you can send a message from the calendar through the Message group button. Your title (co-host or assistant) will be displayed next to your name so guests know who you are. You can also respond to any messages in your inbox on Airbnb.
You’ll only receive messages in a group thread about booked experiences that haven’t started yet.
How the calendar works
If the primary host has given you access to scheduling, you'll be able to view the calendar and/or add and edit instances. You'll also be able to message guests through the Message group button.
