This place is an absolute gem. Exactly what is described. The perfect place to explore Edonburgh from. Easy to get to the stations for Edinburgh. It felt like we had all the access to Edinburgh we wanted but absolute peace and quiet. Hosts were fab. Super helpful and flexible. Hope to stay again.

Lovely, clean cottage in a peaceful area surrounded by nature. The cottage was decorated with Christmas decorations and a lovely little tree to make it feel extra festive. We had a lovely stay here, I’d highly recommend to anyone wanting a quiet, cosy break close to Edinburgh.

Emma’s place in Edinburgh has the perfect location. Two blocks from the train station and 1 block from Royal Mile. The flat is as pictured in the listing. Modern, clean and very tidy. Communication with Emma was effortless. She responded very quickly to any questions. You couldn’t ask for a better host. I would give her 6 stars if I could. Travel tip. When coming from the EDI airport take the Airlink 100 bus. Affordable and drops you off at Waverly Train station just two blocks from Emma’s place.

The Studio was perfect for us - it was our first trip to Edinburgh to see the historic sights. The bus stop was close by - we could walk to the nearest railway station at Eskbank. Or there was a P&R nearby too. There is also a Tesco store and a Morrisons within walking distance. The accommodation is ideal - with a pretty courtyard garden. Being able to park easily right outside the property is a huge bonus! Thank you Marina.

The cottage was a lot bigger than I thought it would be! You come in up a small hill where there was space for both our cars. It felt very private. There is a cottage next door, but the people inside were incredibly quite. The area was very quite in general. The cottage was warm and cosy and the decor fit in with the cottage, country feel. Both rooms were a good size and had their on ensuites, which came in handy with getting ready to head out for the day. They also both had somewhere to do your hair and makeup, which was nice. Storage was big, with the main bedroom having a big wardrobe with hangers. Edinburgh is a 30/40 minute drive, which was easy to navigate. As all the other reviews say, those dreaded pot holes 😂 Once we had gone through a few times, it became easier to avoid the worst of it, just be carefule with the one before the hill up and stick to the left to prevent scraping the bottom of your car!

We had such a lovely time staying at the cottage. It was clean, cosy, stylish and had everything that we needed for a long weekend with a two-year-old. We had an unexpected snow day during the stay and we had the most relaxing and comfortable day in. But it is also so close to Edinburgh that we managed to get back out and explore the following day. I would really recommend staying at the cottage, and I know we will be booking to stay again in 2025.

No words to describe this place but WOW. The pictures absolutely do not do Neidpath Castle justice. Enchanting, multi-level, many areas to explore, and very comfortable! So thankful for this stay and hope to be able to experience it again. No other accommodation could top this place. Highlight of our honeymoon so far.

My husband and I stayed at the Water Tower for 3 nights. It is beautifully restored with so much attention to detail. In arriving we explored it in total awe. It is very comfortable and each bedroom has an ensuite toilet and hand basin. The bathroom is totally wonderful - especially having a bath. The sitting room at the top has a sensational view and is very comfortably furnished. As previous reviews have mentioned the Water Tower is well equipped and we were made very welcome by Susan and Gerry and greeted with homemade muffins and our choice of breakfast ingredients. The Water Tower is really well located, with Morrisons, a wonderful Indian Restaurant called Itihaas for dinner and an incredibly convenient bus service to Edinburgh (£2 per ride - use your card on your phone to pay) - all just around the corner. The Water Tower is an incredibly special place and we would stay again if/when we come back to Edinburgh. Thank you very much Susan and Gerry for hosting us.

We had a beautiful stay at Kitstys, everything was cosy and clean. Would love to come back and stay again.
