You can't get any closer to the water than this! The Courtenay Beach House was built over 40 years ago and has a beautiful rustic modern feel. Enjoy a cup of coffee next to the wood burning stove, watch a movie on the 50' TV, or adventure off to all of the outdoor activities this house and city has to offer!
“This location was special. We got a little lost finding it, but only because it is directly next to a look-out (makes sense when you think about the view!). We adored the record player and record choices, how cozy every room of the place felt, and the ease of finding places based on Matt’s tips! This is a gem of a spot worth enjoying. PS-Kitchen is pretty much locked and loaded except an oven which is alright because there’s a grill! But really, you don’t have to bring much. There are even spices and condiments to use! Thanks, Matt!”
The property is surrounded with giant evergreens situated on the quaint and quiet Quinsam river. The suite is in a separate building on the property, very private. It has funky slate floors, skylights and 12 foot ceilings. A fully loaded kitchen, which comes stocked with coffee beans, an assortment of teas. A cozy separate bedroom. There is a covered deck with a table and chairs where you can enjoy a beverage while BBQing. We also have a PVR for recording your favorite shows Recording.
“This place is incredibly cozy, clean and well equipped. I would highly recommend this place not only because of the place itself, but also because of Trudy, who rents the place. A very heartwarming person with very good tips for activities in the Campbell River area!”

“We absolutely loved our stay here. So much love and care has been put into the suite making it a perfect place to relax and watch tv, have a refreshing shower, cook a beautiful dinner and then breakfast in the morning, and have a great night's sleep on a comfortable bed. The peace and quiet and birds chirping adds to the serenity of it all. The homemade soaps were a lovely touch and the old style fridge and stove were cute as heck! We like to experience people when we're out experiencing life and getting to engage in a thought-provoking discussion with our hosts was a wonderful bonus. We will not hesitate to recommend the Barn at McAllister farm to friends, family, and other travelers! Thank you Heather and Chris!”
