Hey I'm Kibwana born and raised in Dar es salaam i know a lot of hidden gems around my city.

I’m down to earth loves meeting people for culture diversity learning from others is my first priority:)

Why you should book with me. First thing i have been working in this market for almost 8years.

Second i love what i do and i would love to showcase the inner perspective of the dairly Swahili people’s life.

The Kariakoo Market has been existed since 1974. I still remember when i use to go in the market with my family members when i was younger.

Was such a fun thing to do i still have the memories when i use to wake up early and wait for my Mama to take me with.

And we still have a small family workshop in the Market.

My tour with Kibe was fantastic!! Very personable and kind. He kept in contact to make sure I found the place ok to start. He shared so much knowledge about the market and was gracious to carry my bags of purchases. He bargained for me and told me what was better etc... I was the only one in the tour so he catered to my needs. He even walked through town trying to find a place that sold contact solution and made sure I made it safely back to my apt after the tour.

Kibe is the best host, ever! Due to the level of traffic that we could not have predicted, we got to the meet-up point late, but Kibe was very patient and kind. The tour was wonderful, as he is very knowledgeable on Kariakoo's history. I also enjoyed the opportunity to experience the local public transportation and foods that I otherwise may not have tried. If it's your first or fifth time visiting Dar, this tour with Kibe is a must!!!

If you’re ever in Dar Es Salaam you MUST experience a tour with Kibe. This was my first experience/tour through Airbnb and it was my first tour after arriving in Dar Es Saleem. I must admit I was very skeptical about the tour, but once I reached out to inquire about the tour with Kibe and he replied I immediately felt more comfortable. Kibe was welcoming, super knowledgeable about Dar and the market and was very well connected with the locals. Every knew him (the locals), you can tell he’s very well liked and the tour felt like hanging with a friend more than a lectured structured tour which I truly appreciated and enjoyed. After the tour he made sure he didn’t leave until my Uber picked me up. You can guarantee a timely reply when you reach out and you’re sure to feel very safe when with him. I truly felt like I made a friend in Kibe. I would HIGHLY recommend a tour with Kibe. I can promise you will not be disappointed. Book your tour TODAY

Kibe is a cool cat to hang out with, and makes the tour feel very relaxed and enjoyable. He's a true local who knows the area, as his family has been involved in the market for decades. A very welcoming tour. I highly recommend meeting Kibe and walking the market with him!
