What you'll do
We start from the center of Salò, to reach an olive grove a few steps away where we will begin to understand in what context we are and the main climatic characteristics of the area and its cultivations. We proceed uphill into the land and after a little more than an hour we will reach the first winery. We will meet the producers and some products, after the tasting we will set off again on foot to reach a second cellar after about an hour and a half where we will taste different wines food in the area. At the end a private bus will take us back to the starting point. During the walk among the vineyards and the woods we will have the opportunity to talk about wine, people, traditions, ways of consumption and lifestyles. So that our tastings are as interesting as possible and I will try to explain why some wines are easier to appreciate than others, how wine is made and consumed in Europe, compared to other areas of the world, how and when to consume wine should be a pleasant experience only and never a problem. It is important to be informed to buy quality wines. Satisfaction must go hand in hand with well-being and our experience must leave the guest pleasantly tired, but satisfied by a memorable day in a beautiful but almost unknown landscape.
For over twenty years I have been working in the world of wine, specifically in export. Since then I talk about wine: where it is produced, how it is related to the place of production or the components of the "terroir". I became a sommelier in 2007 and Wset L3 in 2017, this last path allowed me to see the world of Italian wine with the eyes of a foreign guest or importer and to modify my communication of a world as fascinating as it is hermetic to the ears of non-experts. I love to listen and tell and I would like the guest who lives my experience to continue to enjoy it once finished and bring with it a memory or a motivation that allows him to relive at home, with an excellent Italian wine, that moment of sweet life who lived together with us.
