We had so much fun in the hospitality of Khadija and her mother is a virtue and we learned to cook dishes like chicken curry on Al Mulla Road and Sawina Bread Chapati and Samboosa and a traditional sweet and delicious Chai hospitality.

It was a unique experience, the food was great. We only did little bits to help rather than a cooking class where you prepare everything yourself from scratch. She was very knowledgeable on food and was an extremely captivating character, creating lots of laughs and familiarity with the group. She also gave us some pregnancy and baby tips and really went the extra mile. I wasn't as involved in the walking tour and thought she could have been more warm at the beginning but that's just her style, my wife loved the tour.

Such an amazing part of Cape Town with history and stunning street art. The area is a bit touristy but when you get to meet and chat with a local on the tour you feel truly immersed in the rich history of the area.
The cooking class was AMAZING the flavours were spectacular and we honestly couldn't eat for the rest of the day. so much good food and honestly just great to sit and eat with locals and share stories and have a laugh.
Strongly recommend for people looking to experience another one of South Africa's diverse cultural groups.

Faldela was the best host imaginable on a rainy winter morning in the Bo Kaap. We did a walking tour around the area with her, followed by the cooking class. She is extremely knowledgeable about the area -- we loved the mix of history and personal anecdotes and stories. She made the group feel comfortable and welcome in her kitchen, and she is an excellent teacher. Can't recommend highly enough! Thank you, Faldela!
