What you'll do

PLEASE MESSAGE ME FOR larger group. (I have been vaccinated & follow CDC guidelines) Also can offer animal tour only for discounted rate. Arrive at the Kitty Hotel homestead grab a coffee, fruit or scone before our tour. Visit animal enclosures armed with carrots as the animals come and visit. The horse & goats love carrots & grapes, the pigs will eat just about anything. Sometimes the alpacas ask for a shower from the hose. Inside the chicken enclosure baby chicks can be held if mommy hen permits. Treats can be offered as the eager hens & ducks as they gather around looking for their favorite snacks. Visit free ranging rabbits inside Mr. McGregor's garden. Beautiful lop earred bunnies hopping about searching for greens. Pet the pigs and give them a carrot. Just sitting back and watching the animals feed and engage with each other is fascinating. Fair warning, some enclosures have rocky unleveled terrain. Safety guidelines must be respected so that the experience is safe for the animals and the visitors. At any time of year there are many rescued animals that live here harmoniously. The circle of life is illustrated in a rich tapestry at the Kitty Hotel, a modest homestead. 100% of your fee goes toward the upkeep and care of the animals.

My modest & simple residence is home to many animals & rescues. Tour the ranchette & see hens, pigs, feed carrots to horse, 8 goats & 2 alpacas, watch the peacocks mingle among us as they look for handouts, play with rabbits as they nibble their breakfast greens and chuckle as you watch the ducks swimming in their pond while munching on lettuce. The dogs & cats are harmonious with all the other creatures. Almost everyone was rescued and enjoys their life in my sanctuary. Using all organic feed & sprouts we use other natural remedies to keep animals healthy. Tea & coffee will be available. IF ANYONE IS AFRAID OF DOGS PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I HAVE 4 BIG RESCUES THAT LOVE PEOPLE. I CAN CONFINE THEM IF NEED.

Diverse animals

Meet over 300 kinds of animals, from alpacas to zebras.

Where you'll be

There are 4 enclosures for animals. One for horse, goats, alpacas. One for pigs, one larger one for all chickens, ducks and peacocks. Rabbits roam freely in the garden. Each enclosure is accessible but fair warning there is animal poop on the ground and depending on interaction with animals, one may get dirty. Scratching Jethro's belly (Large boar) may mean getting dirty knees. We do our best to maintain sanitary and healthy conditions.

Such an amazing experience, I would recommend this experience to anyone who is around the area. Ruth did such a wonderful job introducing us to her animals and adding the touch of beautiful stories and fun facts. You can really tell she cares about her animals and they love her in return. Please take the time to visit Ruth and her animals if you get the chance, there will be no regrets!

This was a spectacular experience. Ruth was super welcoming and a great guide. The critters were also welcoming and friendly :) It was so much fun to learn about all the different animals and to get to feed them.

A great experience for my 8 year old daughter. Pigs, alpacas, goats, rabbits, peacocks, chickens, turkeys and more! Ruth was a kind and caring guide explaining and teaching along the way.

This was a wonderful experience! We were served homemade, AMAZING seasonal scones, fresh fruit, delicious coffee, and a wonderful green tea. Ruth let the kids (5 and almost 3) be helpers so the adults could relax a bit. And all of us got to pet and/or feed cats, dogs, alpacas, goats, pigs, chickens, turkey, peacocks, rabbits, and a horse!!! Truly delightful :)

My husband and I are huge animal lovers so this was already set up for success for us - but Ruth and her precious animals gave it such a personal touch and we had the best time! The perfect way to spend our last day in the Yosemite area. If you love animals, this is a must-do experience!
