What you'll do
We will meet at my favorite coffee shop and I'll give you a brief introduction about the neighborhood, and some fun history facts before the tour. Then I will take you to visit a curated selection of 4 to 6 must-see art gallery exhibitions. Before we enter each gallery, I will give you key information about the artist and relevant art history background. I will then encourage you to explore the gallery, experience the artworks at your own pace and ask questions. You don't need to have any kind of art background to enjoy the experience. I will make sure you will leave the experience with a better understanding of contemporary art and how to approach it. If the experience is booked with more than two weeks in advance and the group size is up to 6 guests, we will visit an artist studio and also we can make arrangements for exclusive tours with gallery staff or a curator so they can share their experience on the process on putting on the exhibition. If we're lucky every month there are lots of openings that I'm always happy to to bring you with me to get a closer look at the art scene in Mexico as a local.
I'll provide bottled water or Coffee or tea After the experience I'll email you a complete list of the galleries we visited…
My name is Jorge and I'm a huge contemporary art aficionado and founder of CDMXARTE a platform that showcases the effervescent art scene formerly in Mexico City. So every week I read, visit galleries, attend press conferences and create a guide on what are the most important exhibits, concerts and cultural events or performances in the city. My background consists in working as an adviser for Ambassador José Luis Martínez Hernández, ex Director General for International Affairs of the Ministry of Culture of Mexico. I help people discover and access the most important art galleries making this experience fun even for people without any art background. Let me know how you feel, what are your interests, what are you expecting because I know how excruciating art tours can be. We're here to have fun.

Where you'll be
Most of the galleries are in the Colonia Roma, and San Miguel Chapultepec. I cannot be specific because of the constant changes in the art scene. If there happens to be a distance that could absorb a lot of time between them we'll find a way to seize the day the best possible way.
