What we’ll do

We'll meet at Stanmer Park; Brighton Cities largest Park, encompassing Stunningly Restored 18th Century Architecture surrounded by acres of unspoilt Sussex Woodland and Countryside. After some fun Story Telling and learning how to use my Bat Detectors (from which you'll be able to hear the Echolocation of Bats that are nearby!), we'll take a stroll around the Park, crossing over fields and…

What else you should know

Bring warm clothing if you get cold! The Bat Walk starts after sundown so it'll be a bit chillier than in the day. Also, do bring suitable footwear for walking such as trainers or hiking boots. It's not a bad idea to bring some water to, plus a spare head torch!

Where you'll be

We will meet in Stanmer House Car Park (public access 24/7) and from there stroll through Stanmer Park, through woodlands, grasslands and around the Old Victorian Buildings, which I'll point out to you. When we get to areas of high bat activity we'll hang around there for a while and I'll discus the kind of species we're witnessing and what behaviour they are exhibiting...before we continue to press on for more bats!
